In 2010, Christina literally changed my life by reaching out to do this collab with me. I checked my youtube messages one day and had to do a double-take. Christina Grimmie... messaging *me*? I had maybe ~200 subscribers at the time; where she was already approaching a million subs on her channel. The fact that she would collab with such a small channel such as mine, without a second thought, speaks to Christina's character - absolutely kind and selfless. Christina truly was an amazing human being who touched countless lives. I'm re-posting this collab to show support and help bring awareness to the foundation started in her name: Christina Grimmie Foundation. A portion of the proceeds from this video and all streams of this song will go direclty to Christina Grimmie Foundation. Thank you for watching. 💗

I didn't know about Christina until 2022. And now that I know she's gone, I made a quiet vow to myself that-- when I am ready-- I will slowly listen to her music. She is, one of my most favorite celebrities out there. Some of which have fallen and worship Satan himself. And almost none of them don't even try to hide it. But-- Christina will be remembered forever. And because of that sudden and horrible day on [REDACTED-privacy reasons], SHE WILL BE REMEMBERED AS A HERO!!! Some of my favorite celebs are: Christina Grimmie (#1), Mathew McConaughey, Jimmy Fallon, and a couple more! Thank you so much! You certainly have changed my life! The year 2016, was also a very bad year for me. It was senior year and I thought it was going to be the best year ever. Then I found a girl. But just after only a couple of days, she-- she rejected me with four very little but hurtful words: "It Didn't Work Out." (by my teacher-which transferred the information to me) And during the rest of 2016 which lagged onto 2017, gave me a very long depression which lasted a year in a half. (1-1/2) Then on 2018, I fell prey to a disease which again, dragged onto 2019. It's a disease which nearly killed me: Ulcerative Colitis. Three years later, I became a Christian to Jesus Christ, in remission of sins which I need out of my life. I also happened to try and make another attempt to get a girlfriend, and if it fails, I will quit. But the staff knew of my actions and I somehow: "scared" them into another action which was never committed: they ASSUMED that I was "Sexually Harassing Young Women," when I have a long-term phobia called. Gynophobia-fear of women. (Only affects me with younger women about 3-40-ish) And on the year of 2022, working at Pizza Hut I was fired for a misdemeanor which never happened: Sexual harassment, and suspect of fraud. None happened. I just wanted to get a girlfriend! By the way, you might be wondering-- why did I share this? Well...... 2 reasons: we...are all a victim of something and....we are....all one big FAMILY!!!😊😊

I remember this collab so well and I really loved it. I was an early fan of hers, before she blew up so much. I still listen to her cover of "O Holy Night" every year during Christmas, and often I cry. I have been a fan of several artists that passed away after I became a fan, but none affected me like Christina. She was truly an amazing singer but even more so an amazing person!

@@GOKU-px7qd She was shot at her own meet-and-greet after her concert in Orlando, Florida in 2016. A completely deranged, obsessed stalker did it. He went to her meet-and-greet and as she wanted to greet and hug him, he brutally shot her and then killed himself.

I don't think I've left a comment with this youtube account in over a decade but this video left me with such a strong bittersweet reaction. Your and Christinas covers were my most repeated videos back in highschool. I'm glad to have gotten the chance to see you both live in NYC when I had the chance all those many, many years ago. It's cruel and unfair how fast her life was stolen from her, and us by extension, but it's very clear and evident that she won't be forgotten. Thanks, Alex, for re-posting this (especially with her family's blessing).

So many years has passed since then and I still remember the events of that night. How excited I was to see all of the pictures of her on stage. How shocked I was to hear that she had been shot. Then update after update thinking that surely things would work out. And still to this day I keep revisiting it, hoping I was just misinformed and things are ok. She was the first person who's voice I heard and personality I saw that was a true star. Someone I looked up to, a truly unique voice that was meant to share it with the world. I actually wanted to go to her concerts and meet her someday. And she is still the only person I feel so highly of in this category. Hopefully in the next life.

There are many reasons to miss Christina, most of them obvious. As a fan, specifically one who only knew about her in passing before she was murdered, it's the most banale reason that primarily comes to the mind: her incredible voice. The whole world lost a talent: crudely put she has a whole number of amazing albums left in her we will never get to hear. Still, I treasure the two albums she did get to make (one in life and one posthumous). I listen to them regularly and they always make me smile despite the tragic context. I'll never forget her.

On June 10th, 2016, 22-year-old singer and songwriter Christina Grimmie was shot and killed after performing at her concert in Orlando, Florida. Her family received a huge outpouring of support from Christina’s friends, extended family and fans. This support was a huge part of their healing and, frankly, survival. As a result, her father, mother, and brother founded the Christina Grimmie Foundation to help other families who may not have received the kind of support.

This is about remembrance and celebrating a bittersweet, hopeful and joyous period in all our lives. I stumbled upon this video (it has always been on Christina's channel) after many years of not hearing/seeing it. Stumbling on the vid, after all this time, caused a chaotic mixture of emotions within me - for obvious reasons - which compelled me to ask Christina's foundation if it would be appropriate to re-post it to my channel. They said yes - and were grateful for the idea of spreading awareness. Your comment just made me want to explain myself. I'm sorry if this came off as inappropriate to you.

Jackass. He posts something to keep the memory alive and to bring awareness to her foundation, and you want to call it inappropriate? I certainly hope you'd have some modicum of empathy and brains after this.
