well yeah DJ Grooves is nice to you the whole time, while The Conductor has your roles as detective useless and i forgot the other one. Not to mention his attitude towards her the whole time

I do think DJ Grooves genuinely wanted to keep the last time piece he had though, I can see him being desperate over keeping it to fix his years of failure, while knowing Hat Kid really needs the time pieces
