No it doesn't. It means they put out a gold coloured version. And, unless they dropped the number, you had to sell 500,000 albums in the US to have a R.I.A.A.- certified album. You gotta sell 1 million to go platinum. And if you sell 10 million you are diamond (Eminem and Tupac each have 2, Biggie Smalls, Outkast, Beastie Boys, Kid Rock, MC Hammer and Nelly are the only ones to have Diamond albums.
