This was the second Tom song I heard about 3 years ago. This song showed me that there is nothing Phopic or hate based in Tom's music. One can't hold hate in your heart and have the amount of empathy Tom showed in this song.

Tom has some really good older music. This song is always in my top 2. Tom and Nova lived in the Crenshaw area if South Central LA and they went out and talked to the people in his neighborhood these were true stories. Would love for you to react to a few of really old ones . If I Change, Wheels Keep Turning, The Trilogy ( Hourglass, Who I Am, Bout It) , # 7, and I Wish. The albums are Renegades and The Revolution. I Wish - Church - Sad Rappers These are 3 that I'm not sure if you have listened to or posted and also If I Change (older one). I'm sure you would enjoy the 1 1/2 hr. live he did yesterday explaining everything about the two new albums . Castles was written by Tom talking to and interacting with everyday people who strive daily and have hopes and dreams but feel were robbed and gave up or on the brink of. He wrote this at a time that he and Nova were barely making it themselves so could easily relate. It seems more people appreciate the song now than when he released it.
