It is hard to stay true to yourself as an average pedestrian Joe so to be that in his profession is often very unlikely. Many of us tend to forget that these artists are human beings first, battling with pleasing their fans, not upsetting the apple cart too much so that they can continue to bring us these gems and then trying to trust the ones we surround ourselves with all the while remembering they "friends" are also first and foremost flawed humans (as we all are). To me it is not about Oh I like this song more than that last one or why did he/she say whatever they said in that way,depicting every word every move with a magnifying glass or added hearing aids but appreciating every moment they spent on their lyrics, video, beat and everything that comes after from the directing, producing, editing to all the etceteras to give to me, all their sweat and tears they left on the floor for... just me. This is how I feel when I listen to and watch Church's videos and many independent artists and I truly hope all goes well with the court cases but he has some unseen help on his side.
