It's not as skillful as actually having the 12"s on hand. Lifting the stylus off of the record switching the album / dropping the head-shell on the wax and searching for your cue point and then screeching it in on time and skillfully without a millisecond to revel in your skills because you have to dig into the crate to get the next bomb you have to drop. But, I guess never touching headphones or lifting the tone arm because you can just program the next point, with a mouse guaranteeing a beat match, tempo synch and hell... Prerecord ex scratch patterns. Funny, how with all of this technology at ones fingertips.. Those fingers can still make awful transitions and horrific song matches. Blasting one title into another without continuity of bpm's or style of selection. Some will never know what the art once was. A generation of groundbreaking musicians known in the history books as: dj's, could do these feats of amazement with a crate of vinyl - 2 turntables & a forgotten set of skills called; practice & dedication.

Funny/interesting comment. Those my age listening to this wondering how many decks he's using and how on earth he switched records so fast. I love this and am thinking of getting a laptop/serato setup. I realise that when I start using tech, I'll be useless for a while until I get the knack. I like the whole thing about having records nobody else has.
