Damn?! I’ve not known of many to actually dismantle their sliding potentiometers. I did ask DJ Q Bert one time about his fader, as in, “hamster cage, and WHAT?!” He leveled with me and told me he put a little piece of rubber in there to get just a little extra spring-off from the limit. It would make sense, because it seemed from many videos that it wasn’t possible for the sound to completely cut out unless you physically held that fader in place against that resistance of that rubber. I remember the amazement that I felt when I first opened up a Vestax 05 I had, to find that there were really nice switches inside the chassis to set the fader curve response (exponential, linear, inverse exp) on both channels. The same switches that they put on their panels. THANK YOU for sharing an amazing refurbishment!! GREAT JOB!

I already know what type of DJ owned that mixer: an acid techno DJ. Once those Roland 303's start blazing everyone goes nuts, cats and dogs fornicate, people light themselves on fire, and DJ's destroy their own equipment.

Thanks for this Video ! What Spray do you use for the channel fader? My Channel Fader makes noises when I move them. I think they are dirty. Do they need to be replaced or can I clean them and put some spray on them?

In what kind of liquid did you soak in the knobs?
@rebsutube Жыл бұрын
with these kind of parts some soapy water and a nailbrush can do the trick... and some time to go 1-by-1 (looks as good on video as it feels to do)

I need to find someone like you to service mine. One of the filter frequency sweep knobs stopped working recently 😩😩😩 I would have taken the opportunity to fit a new faceplate tbf, they don’t cost that much and the rust is unsightly. Got the issue on mine to a much lesser degree

what should cost an old used allen & heath xone:92 MADE IN UK ? is it not more logic, to buy a new xone:92 with 3 years warranty ??? 'cause i see in this video, it can be opened & repaired, or the parts can be changed !?! what is the MAIN difference between the MADE IN UK and the latest xone:92 models ??? or is it just a british complex ??? i really don't know, and i need precise informations about it !!!

Hi, recently i saw this, MAIN difference between the MADE IN UK and the latest xone:92 models ??? Main difference is much better solder quality, i have had Xone 22 made in china, spend most of the time under soldering iron, chinc connectors are first to break bad solder quality.. Also, in recent model, A&H uses shittier faders as time goes. Newest are real trash, if you get 3 years of work you are very lucky.

@@goranstecesin1186 thanks for the reply. now i found an old djm 700-k pioneer mixer, that i gotta repair now somewhere. what i can say is, at the end, it's better to buy a brand new quality dj-mixer, with five years warranty from the shop you buy !!! that's what i learned finally. i'm so glad, we got shops like that in good old germany.

It's insane these mixers are only a few years old and the way they are treated by people they look like heaps of shit in a couple of months, see it all the time.
