I've been a Too $hort fan since the late 90s but i didn't really pay him any attention until i heard him on E40's "Rappers Ball". Too $hort is one of the greatest rappers in history. Being a Bay nigga myself who was originally from L.A., Short inspired my own music a lot. Though, i think E40 inspired me a little bit more.

LMAO! You had me rollin' in this interview, David. I feel you. When I first heard $hort, I was like _Who is this man talkin' all this sh¡t on record?_ Became a fan instantly. His tone and inflections were everything to me during the time. My first official introduction to him was 1992's _Shorty the Pimp._ The colors of the artwork were hella intriguing to me. I didn't understand what was on the artwork though. My mom didn't want me listening to rap, but that didn't stop me. Whenever my dad and I would go out, he'd blast Too $hort, Ice Cube, DJ Quik, Intelligent Hoodlum, etcetera. We _cain't_ forget about the work you done put in over the years, David. Pristine, sleek beats/production, etcetera. You definitely had it goin' on.
