I'm so glad you understood the multifaceted quality of this song. It isn't only about losing your pet, it's about loss and grief in general. I'll always be grateful to Jin for this song. It gave me closure and helped me deal with the pain of losing my dog.

I was my Mother's main care giver for over two years. She battled cancer and lost. It was that time that I started paying a lot more attention to Korean Dramas, Korean music and even Korea itself. After she passed, everyone told me how good I was at caring for her. But you see... I could not take away her pain. I could not take away her fear. I could not take her place. I am so glad I found the wonderful talent Korea has and I feel blessed to have BTS in my life. I am blessed to have you in my life as well Jino. All this experience is bringing a little color back in my life. 💜

Katie Campbell well same but it was 8 years for me, and whatever everyone say I think I didnt do a good job, this song means a lot to me cuz I feel it so much, I lost many ppl my mom, uncles , aunts , grandparents (mostly to cancer) and now I'm taking care of my dad its the same all over again. jin's songs and solos are the only things makes me go on with life. I just mean I feel u.

It was also at night when mom was settled in watching things that distracted me and made me laugh. I am saddened that you are facing this again. I hope and pray your Dad is finding some comfort and knows how much he is loved. 💜

Seokjin is not only my bias (along with Namjoon) but he's also my favorite vocalist. I feel that he's very underrated in underused in their music. He has such potential and emotion in his voice. He's an amazing vocalist with a unique sound and color (like all of the members) and I just personally really vibe with his voice in general

I think songs like Tonight aren't rateable. This song hits so deep and touches you with your whole soul. That's one of Jins charms, his silver voice delivers the emotions in a way only a few artists can. There maybe some singers out there with a lot better singing technique than Jin like dimash kudaibergen but the way Jins voice touches me is so much deeper. I can't describe it well but I feel the sincerity of emotions when I listen to Jins voice and all his songs are so relatable and meaningful.

For some reason every time I hear jins songs awake, epiphany and now tonight I can’t stop sobbing. His voice is so amazing and it can stir and transmit emotions that I didn’t know I had. Who knew I would cry as I sang “i am the one I should love “. Cause I thought I already did. But apparently going through some marriage issues kind of made me stop loving myself. 🥺🥺. Jino..when I first saw your channel I thought your were a mean guy. Lol. But you are such an amazing person. Seeing you with your pet changed everything for me. If you watch the bangtan bomb that Crying EDM was actually a replica of Jins tone.... there were back and forth conversations between Jin and someone else trying out how high the notes should go.

I love the ending when there's that click akin to an 8mm reel recorder being switched on. The vocal effect on Jin's voice got me thinking like he either recorded a message for his pet or he was watching a home movie on an old reel projector. The fact I didn't know Jin wrote this song in memory of his pet, I believe, is why I failed to make that connection. The emotions it brought, I just had to start and stop listening several times before I finally through it and I wasn't even reading the lyrics. On third listen I read the lyrics and I just got hit with waves of regrets. I am older so I have a lot of those. Just had to stay away from this song for a while and have recently taken up this song again.

Thanks for reacting to this! I think this song touches people so much because everyone can relate to it. Everyone has experienced loss in some way whether it be family, friend, or pet. And Jin's voice conveys so much emotion...it really hits hard.

hi from 2022! just started to watch your reaction videos and I must have watched at least 10 reaction videos to jin's tonight...and every time I hear the song, I still shed tears... I'm glad that the song resonated with you as well and you are definitely right in saying that the lyrics do not just pertain to our pets but anyone we have lost or afraid to lose in life. I've seen so many who have shared that they immediately thought of their family members or friends that they have lost while listening to the song. fans posting about their pets is probably to empathise with jin's inspiration for the song. I hope that jin knows that he has this ability to make people feel so much and continue to make music that touches the hearts of listeners, fans / non-fans alike. btw, the edm part that you were referring to really do sound like someone crying within the song.

Technical wise Jin's voice is not as great as the other vocalists out there, not just in BTS vocal line. He is my bias, but sometimes his voice in some of their songs doesn't have that wow factor. But one thing that separates him from the others is his ability to get not only the message of his songs across the audience but he also delivers emotions in his solo songs in such a way that you won't have to know what the lyrics mean to understand the music. It was like that for me when I heard Epiphany the very first time, I didn't know what the words meant but I felt what he wanted to say. If you look at his lyrics, they are quite simple and straightforward, I don't remember which video or where I read it from but he once explained that he wanted the lyrics to be that way, because he wanted his songs not to be deciphered, but to be felt. And he is doing a damn great job for that matter. His solo songs, it truly reflects the kind of person he is.
