I think Jin had a lot of guilt about the loss of his last sugar glider. In his vlive he mentioned that if his cage had been up higher the poor little thing might have been able to survive the fall so I'm sure he beat himself up a lot over the what ifs and might have beens. Jin is such a sensitive person outside of his crazy and chaotic public personality and this song expresses who he is beautifully.

This song is sad. I can feel Jin is still in pain for the lost of his pets Eomuk and recently Odeng who have just passed away because of height accident. I can still remember his face when he announced it during his Vlive as he almost cried that time. He dedicated this song for his pets he's missing a lot. His sugar gliders used to live with them at the dorm but due to their constant trips abroad Jin took them to his family.

Jin and v can be seen as the most affectionate with their pets (but I'm gonna talk only about jin cause this is about him) jin had this live some months ago and he was very enthusiastic but suddenly someone asked him about his sugar glider (he had another one and a dog.both of them passed away before this one.) He suddenly became very sad. He felt like crying so he closed the live. That's how much jin loves his pets.he always used to say how if ppl wanted to have pets. They have to be careful because that's another life. Jin is so kind.hard working.handsome. vocal king. Always practices. Gives without asking for return (like how he secretly kept donating till his donation reached 100M won but he was told that ppl would admire him and do good deeds like him so he wanted to spread it more and told us) he really is our worldwide handsome,cutie,funny,kind guy .

Jin had a dog named jjangu that he loved so much. They lived together for 12yrs. I remember he used to post little clips on twitter and pics with him. Unfortunately jjangu died on September 2017 and Jin updated us through fancafe. He also has 2 cute sugar gliders but one of them died recently because it fell from a high surface. Jin is so attached to his pets and so he wrote this song for them.

Actually it was BTS amazing BigHit in-house producer Slow Rabbit who did the main producing with help from Jin & even RM. Also background vocals were sung by another amazing in-house producer Adora. She has sung amazingly beautiful background vocals for many BTS songs! Jin's voice is like angelic. What's amazing is the other three singers (Jimin, Jungkook and V) sound beautiful as well with the high pitches. Some of the sound reminds me of Michael Jackson when he's using his pitches in some of his songs. MJ is just using it slightly though but BTS is all constant full blown high pitch glory...amazing. I've only been an ARMY for almost 3 months now and I've been listening to their songs every waking hour -- Jin is my favorite vocalist, not because he is my bias, there is just something in his voice, I don't know how he does it, you can feel all the raw emotion in his voice that even tho if you don't understand what the song is about, you could feel it. All his solo songs never fail to give me that feeling, its almost like he is transferring what he feels through a song. I cried so hard the first time I heard Epiphany, and I didn't have any translation by then. I will never forget that moment when I officially got turned into an ARMY. I love all the boys, but Jin will eternally be my most favorite person in the world, nothing in the world can change that.

Thank you for this. All of Jin’s songs effect me emotionally as I think although every member can portray emotions in their songs, Jin is the master. This song I have lost count on how many times I have heard it yet every single time it has reduced me to tears. A reactor I listen to his known for his honest reactions (reacts to all music not just BTS) has always been up and down with his reactions to Jin but even he was rendered more or less speechless with this song and had tears in his eyes. This is the effect this song has. My reaction is totally same as you. I cried all through the night hugging and touching my doggy's head. And then I brushed into lots of tears when I read a mom's comment who lost her daughter right after her birthday early this year. She wrote this song is about not only pets but also anyone you may have lost in your life. I was really looking forward to the song, especially after Jin announced that the song is about his pets (his dog that died 2017 and his two sugar gliders that dies 2018). I lost my best friend- my bunny- 4 months ago, too. We grew up together, I got her when I was 8 and she was 4 months old. She died at the age of 8/9 with a tumour. I was heartbroken and still am so this song helps me a lot. Once again, Namjoon and Jin have created Magic I'm not even surprised.

I'm watching your reaction and same I teared up after knowing the lyrics. I remember Jin vlive while telling his pet just past away. He was almost teary but prevent it coz he don't want us army to see him being sad. Knowing that they upload it to soundcloud for free again just shows how much they appreciate and love us, for our support. They are really one of a kind artist. 💜

He had a dog named Jjangu and 2 pet sugar gliders that he adored very much. They have unfortunately, passed and this song is written in memory of them. Jin really take care and love his pets, he was even hesitant to show his sugar gliders on their variety programmes because he was worried young fans might wanna raise one after seeing him, but not have the responsibility to nurture them properly. He told the fandom something along the lines of "Small animals are lives too, you have to make sure you have the responsibility to take care of them wel before raising one"

Its certainly a song that can be interpreted for each individual and I think Jin probably made it that way purposefully. For me, it reminds me of my cat Patches who passed away several yr ago and was there for me everyday when I was going through horrible depression and anxiety. I love her and I still miss her but this song reminds me of the happy memories I got to share with her, which is something I struggle to do when I'm down. Always grateful to BTS members writing songs that have so much meaning.
