Have MDJ900 and CDJ700 - underrated players, not SO MUCH buggy as described by some users. Have no problems with these at all. In this price tag morthen recommended!!

I've used MDJ-900's for years in a club downtown. These devices never let me down. I'm even thinking of getting them myself in my home studio. I've had worse tabletops than these. Also the older Gemini CDJ's are pretty good for simple use. It's not that they fail to work when you bump at it once. I've also had CDJ2000NXS2's and they had many problems when they came out. I had to send in several of them to the repair shop. When the warranty ran out, I immediately sold them. Pioneer stuff is great, but not really durable. And for people who lack on a high budget, these things are great. They meet the club standard as for looks, but have much more to offer. Most people (not all) who are complaining about the Gemini's, have never used it. Or worse, aren't even DJ's. What people don't understand, is that we DJ's spend a lot of time to build our skills, but also that we spend a LOT OF MONEY in our gear. Same goes for the NDX500's from Numark. Great devices, but just because they're cheap, it doesn't mean they're bad. They're extremely durable and can stand a lot of bumps and so. I've got 4 of them and they are absolutely stunning. The only thing that they lack on, is a color screen and they lag a bit when it comes to scrolling through crates (when using Serato) or folders (when using USB/CD).

@@YouriHL also have cdj2000 (1st gen, not nexus) and I have to say - build quality is not perfect. It's industry standard at the moment, but as You said - MDJ 900/1000 for home use is perfect solution. Especially it this price tag as 350€/player sealed.

Here in Brazil there is no publicity, there are no resellers or technical assistance, and with the import taxes it is unfeasible to buy, when it breaks down here in Brazil no one will fix it.. shame the company should invest more in Brazil..

How have you solved the problem with the software not correctly analysing the traks regarding to BPM ? And is your Beatgrid aligned right ? good set btw.

Thanks! Gemini mdj1000 software sometimes doesn't analise correctly bpm and the beat grid, i solved this problem by listening and working out...there is no other way. Anyway my mdjs are running the version 6.7 wich in my opinion is the best (with less bugs than others)

@@jva_studio You can actually adjust the beat grid on the software, when you preview the tracks, you are able to make adjustments to the beat grid. I have not had any problems with my tracks being analyzed incorrectly.

Grazie mille, allora gli mdj900 non sono altro che la versione dopo i 1000, personalmente li trovo degli ottimi lettori a basso prezzo, belli e funzionali. Ovviamente non hanno le stesse prestazioni di un Pioneer (basta vedere il prezzo) ma una volta che impari ad usarli sei in grado di suonare ogni tipo di console. Io te li consiglio, valuta comunque te.

Personally I would, even if sometimes they are a little buggy, but in my case I have the latest update (6.8)and they "crash" only if I click too many buttons too fast, but it rarely happens, anyway we are talking about really cheap mdjs so I think that's normal if it happens😅

Does the analysis of tracks on the fly still take so long as said in various reviews? Like for example 4 minutes analysis for a 7 minute long track, or they fixed that with the newest update? Im asking because i want to get a pair of these, as they seem a really good bang per buck.

The analysis of the track is not good as the pioneer's one of course, for example some songs requires an analysis of a few minutes but only the first time you play them. Once you have analized them everytime you will play those songs the beatgrid and bpm will be already loaded. (Sometimes the bpm analysis is not completely correct, so trust your ears and not the display!)

And also two last questions, I want to get the MDJ-900s and would you recommend the geminis compared to a pair of CDJ-900s from Pioneer?(having the price difference in mind) And also wanted to ask about the sound quality that the geminis output. Is it comparable with the cdjs or worse? I saw that the audio card can support also 24bit , 192 kHz, so have you tried to play bigger uncompressed files on the geminis?

@@Shipu96 You can pre-analyze tracks with V-case (software like rekordbox) but I have never used it so I can't answer you.. the output quality is good, I use them since 2016 in every party I play in. I suggest them because they are cheap and good looking, of course pioneer is the best but I couldn't afford their cdjs. Geminis work quite well and they have never gave me any tipe of problem, some of their functions like bpm analysis not always works perfectly, anyway i don't give anything.. so here's MY votes Quality/price: 10/10 Aesthetics: 8/10 Reliability 7/10

Hi! You have to put an ethernet cable in both mdj's, and then you have to press the "link" button in the one that doesn't have the flash drive. If it doesn't work it might be an issue with the cable.

Hi! Sometimes bpm are wrong.. it happened with the 6.6 and even happens a little with 6.8, we must be patient and hope that gemini will release a new update. Anyway I suggest you the 6.8 software, in my opinion is the best one, because it isn't so buggy.

When you’re beat matching are you using sync. I had a traktor before my mdjs. I just can’t seem to get them match up. Any advice? Great mix btw

@@Fishing_with_bufu Thanks! With Mdj's you can't match with sync mode because there is not, you must set the right bpm in both the song and match them manually listening to the rythm and scrolling the jog.

Ciao! Allora io ho i 1000, però credo che siamo praticamente uguali se non con qualche miglioria. Personalmente li ritengo molto affidabili perché si trovano ad un buon prezzo e hanno molte funzioni. I bpm non sono sempre precisi, possono variare di qualche valore, del resto non hanno bug notevoli, solo qualche piccolezze come ritardo nel caricamento oppure brevi crash.

Ciao Davide! allora io li ho da 5 anni e funzionano correttamente senza aver mai dato grandi problemi. PRO: -Economici con un buon rapporto qualità/prezzo, per quanto costano secondo me ne vale davvero la pena. -Offrono molte funzioni rispetto alla concorrenza della stessa fascia di prezzo. -Esteticamente (a mio parere) sono molto belli e la plastica con cui sono fatti è solida. CONTRO: -Se vengono sovraccaricati di comandi (premute troppe cose insieme e cambiando repentinamente canzone) possono crashare e riavviarsi, ma succede raramente, tuttavia è necessario stare attenti. -I bpm non sono sempre corretti, ci sono alcuni bug per quanto riguarda la loro analisi, quindi ti consiglio di prendere abitudine a non farci caso e ad imparare usando solo l'udito.
