DJ Spinderella (Deidra) is in the Push It video... She was the DJ in the group on Salt 'n Pepa's very first tour with The Fat Boys. Spin has been there as Salt 'n Pepa's DJ ever since the mainstream public got to know Salt 'n Pepa as a group (a trio). What made Salt 'n Pepa stand out in large part at the time was them having a female DJ. Spin was the first female DJ of a Hip Hop group. A Hip Hop pioneer that inspired many of the female DJs that we see today. Spin DJ'd, rapped and danced with Salt 'n Pepa. Not to mention that Spin was the finest out of the 3 women in the group. Spin deserves her flowers and more respect from Salt 'n Pepa...word up!!!

It’s making me say this: they got their karma thru their bad relationships with their husbands! You can’t mistreat folks & expect good to come back to you! Salt started act “holier than thou”, bcz she got saved & started acting like she was perfect! Pepa just kept being Pepa: continuing to be ghetto & choosing wrong men for relationships, along with having body dysmorphia disorder. So glad that Spin has finally got what was hers! ♥️♥️

i know it hurts to be double-crossed by ppl you thought was your family, but truthfully, alotta record labels were already getting rid of DJs that belonged to hip hop artists since the early 90s, behind "not paying for outside DJs when they have their own that work directly for the labels." Spin's position was never guaranteed. I experienced this personally with my own DJ. Spin been around since the 80s. Spin shoulda been preparing for ANYTHING. She shoulda known better. when salt n pepa caught they lil buzz for a minute last decade, she shoulda hopped on the hype and tried her hand at being a female DJ khalid or somethin', nah mean? Reintroduce herself to this generation of music, making HER OWN NAME again.

If this group and Sleater-Kinney taught me anything, it is that if two members who already had a close friendship before you lead the band, it doesn't matter if you have been friends for years. You will ALWAYS be looked at like the carry-on member of the group that can always be replaced if you leave. Raising your voice for a chance to be seen, heard and respected fucks with the power dynamics, even when to the public, you had given the impression that it is the Three Musketeers, not two and that other guy.

Yes, it was grimy how Spin was done but you HAVE TO get representation for yourself! Salt n Pepa had a lawyer, they had a manager. She kept whining and whining and NEVER handled her business. Salt n Pepa looked out for THEMSELVES , Spinderella didn't. Sad but that's what happened 🤷🏽‍♀️
