Swamp did it all in this set. Ill scratches, tone shifts, needle drops. Drumming on one turntable and scratching on the other. That's a foreign language to DJ's nowadays. It was even kinda foreign to some very skilled DJ's back then.

I was there (I can't believe I found this...) 1) He was the 1st to after he did that broken record thing the tables were fucked for everyone else...lol 2) When they anounced his name it took like 5 min to find him and when he got up there he was either on Acid or scrhooms or both. I was at this battle. Swamp opened the sets. The 3 favorites that day were Melo-D, Babu, Joe Sinister. I X L was a surprise. The other DJs that day didn't get a hype crowd reaction as big as Swamp. The Bay Area is a tough crowd, there's so many DJ s! But Swamp won that battle 4 sure.
