Hi Thank you for this tutorial. It's very useful but was too fast for me. I am a beginner and would like to know this way of dropping in Serato. I have a Pioneer DDJ and would like to know how to use the samplers and FX effects when playing tracks or changing tracks.

Press the sampler button and use the keys for samples for fx use the dial next to the key lock you can change your fx and samples in the program the button is at the very top above deck 1

Confused why it was recorded in Serato exported to Audacity then re exported. You could have just used cue points to cut it in Serato. This is neater in the long run but you should have just recorded it into Audacity first then export just once. Really unnecessary steps.

Hey Andy, I got the step by steps down 100%. The only issue i have is when I press record, I can hear the mic and the drop, but i dont see it on the recording levels on my Serato DJ. I have win 7, a mixtrack pro2 using a shure mic and a realtek sound card. Any Advice?

How do you assign a shortcut key for a DJ Drop on your laptop example like assign to a key on the laptop?

ya prob just load the file into one of ya sample banks then assign a key or pad to trigger it if you mean in a dj programme.....if ya mean in win os itll prob be bind run :D

This is interesting to me cause I'm trying to help a friend out and I see in your video your mic is an option in the recording feature? Is that only for the Rane 62? Cause the mic is def not available to me with my S9 as a selection. It may be different cause he's using a DDJSX or maybe the SDJ version you use🤔 odd any help?

I'm not putting anyone down but did I really just watch a 9 minute video on how to record ya voice and delete a little bit... cmon youtube is just getting ridiculous . if you don't know that how the hell did you even manage to try to dj ......... At least try to justify making a nine minute video by normalising the audio , level the pan , remove cd offsets maybe even lose all the -50hz sub harmonics quicj with a LFP if ya don't wanna go into analysing and doing noise reduction fullyall that stuff is instant , quick and easy to show on same waveform window ...... your good doing vids to help peeps but man ya cant waste 9 minutes of a life pressing rec and saying something in a mic the opening the file , kids toys do that its just common sense . if you got a waveform displaying dj programme and your mixing and want to add drops cmon you may not know how to route stuff analyse or select correct inputs / modes best to record....But I'm sure everyone in the world can press rec...stop...save...oh yeah left click drag n delete :) its filmed well though lol :P and you good at presenting clearly ....ya cant make videos that empty its just stupid and theres a million of them on here its a joke:(its also a sample (one shot ) or ya could loop it I suppose ...... a drop is beats build up then boom a drop?

v basically if you got any audio editing programmes just open the file and process it how ya want ... download a free trial of wavelab or find an old soundforge for free or that adobe thing . ya just hightlight the whole file clickthe little menu and choose what effects and kisten if ya like em save em
