Wonderful points about the business side etc. Fantastic advice. I’ll be picking up one of these soon.

@@DJ80 really enjoyed your perspective towards the end of us DJ who actually use it week in week out and before the words came out of your mouth about the digital DJ guy, I was thinking the exact same thing!!! I've liked and subbed & look forward to your next videos.. Take care mate 💯

Hi Dj80, first time I am watching one of your video’s; it appeared (as they do), because I am a Prime 4 user. Really enjoyed your real world review which resounds, as you say, with the majority of DJ’s, particularly us UK DJ’s so I completely get where your coming from. I have a few controllers/standalone/hybrid’s, but as it’s a hobby for me (although been doing it since I was 13 in the late 80’s), it’s a life long hobby and I tend to keep all my equipment to the end! In addition to the Prime4 I have the MCX8000 (never had a problem with it and still use it from time to time), and the XDJ XZ (which I do love immensely). I also am not reliant on streaming services, and because of the P4 have recently become a Tidal subscriber (after trying Beatsouce and SoundCloud which don’t suit my musical tastes fully), also a Spotify user (converting playlists to Tidal using Soundiz - much better than Tunemymusic for my musical tastes). While I like the changes, I see no reason for me to change as the P4 has evolved so much since I have owned it, there is not much more that I need given the hobbyist DJ I am, and switching between the decks above depending on how I feel/just for a change/ or depending on the gig (streaming services come into its own if DJaying outside of one’s comfort zone - folks really happy and it makes their night when you have their ‘obscure’ requests.) However, great video, and I will subscribe given that you review other equipment, and as I am also self serviced (big into PA equipment- active and passive speakers, amps, system management controllers etc), I will be interested in your posts. BTW, my regular go to set up are the Yamaha DSR115 and DXS118 - never failed me yet and always delivered, either the complete set or just the top’s - depending of course on the scale and type of function. Apologies for the long comment but just felt inspired 🙋🏾♂️👍🏿

Hey buddy, thanks very much for your heartfelt comment, because it’s always nice to hear from others with a similar background. Sounds like you have the controller side of things all wrapped up! Interestingly I also use Yamaha speakers for my big events (DX15’s mk2) although most of my gigs are covered with my LD Maui 5’s (which are a godsend to move around). I’m sure I will switch to streaming eventually and I’m happy it works for you. Thanks for the subscribe, and comment - it was much appreciated. 😊👍

Indeed it makes a lot of sense to buy another one after 4 years wen you run it as a business. I got the sc live 4 because the prime 4 is with flight case way too heavy for what I use it for. The prime 4 plus looks now a lot like the sc live 4. It is only a shame that Denon hardly has white units available while that color makes a lot of sense for mobile DJs. I'm wondering if that has anything to do with DJs and masculinity, production cost,... InMusic changed the processor and memory size in its more expensive MPC's so I guess they also upgraded the processor and memory in the prime 4 plus. I think for mobile DJs EngineDJ makes so much more sense than Pioneer because you don't need a laptop anymore for track preparation. I used my laptop with EngineDJ once to transfer the files from Serato and thats it. It saves a lot of time and effort.

Great comment, and I agree with some points. I bought a Magma case which is still going strong and that’s about the lightest case for it, but it’s still plenty heavy!

Thanks for sharing mate. I have a small advice to you 🙏 Will it be smart to change you'r thumb nail from DJ80 to a picture ? This way you'r viewers can see and understand what the video is about. The black and white DJ80 thumb nail not look that interesting to click on the video. Just try to help you out with views on you'r channel 👊
@DJ80 Жыл бұрын
Thanks mate, I have considered that but chose not to. I personally feel the thumbnails with DJ’s with their mouths open in fake surprise just looks cheesy. I never started this channel in order to get likes, it was really just about sharing product knowledge. I’ll keep my current thumbnails because it’s consistent and my viewers recognize it. Thanks for the suggestion though 👍😊
