I think a big problem rn also is that people are way too comfortable with just casually having a baby. I live in Texas & the number of single mothers under 25 is RIDICULOUS! I understand there’s plenty of circumstances for why some babies are brought into this world but from my own personal experience I see way too many people who be having babies isn’t a big deal, when most of these people are not ready in any sort of way. I’m saying everything in life has repercussions. As a woman, you have to be 100% sure who you’re having a baby with is someone you can spend the rest of your life with, because if you do become a single mother you can’t expect to be a part of the same dating scene as someone without kids, regardless of how great you might be you still come with baggage that not everyone is gonna wanna put up with. And as a man, you should be 100% sure who you’re having a baby with because whether you like it or not the mother of your child is gonna be part of your life, and another woman with no kids might not wanna be in the middle of whatever drama you’d have with your baby mama. For both parties, having a kid young in life will have a lot of setbacks, you’re gonna miss out on a lot of things because you thought you were ready to raise another life when you don’t even have your own together. When I was 19 I dated a 26 y/o single mother. Luckily she decided to leave me over the basis that I lived with my parents when she lived with her mother. You know that basis alone if I lived by myself would end up being something committed and long term and then she’d have a list of expectations from me. I was so sad when it ended but now a few years later I’d realised just how much that could’ve ruined my life and mental state. I found out the hard way. I just ended a four year relationship with a woman who has a child with another man but I allowed myself to get involved into the domesticated politics between both co-parents. It was ugly, toxic, tragic and sad. The worst part of it is the child suffered due to the negligence and incompetence of both parents and their animosity towards each other. It made me feel so bad. I want to understand everything said here, but in our era, i find it hard to believe there is no chance you can find a worthwhile partner that has a kid. I used to avoid men with kids in general and felt strongly about it, but it happened to me to have met people that have had their partners die, or faced difficult situations or got into it very young and although perfectly fine people both found out to have serious differences as a couple. There are other reasons that things did not work out, but definitely had nothing to do with their situation with the kid. I think most people have specific circumstances on their minds when they talk so negatively about single parents. In general, i like to be more careful when trying to give advice to other people. Generic feelings and situations are okay to be concerned about and warn, but anything other rather than finding a person with whom you can genuinely connect, I consider it to be dangerous advice and a little pessimistic as well. I also find it impossible to like a person and not be willing by yourself to make a bond with their kid. I think in these very special situations some instincts come out naturally. I would also like to think that for people with even greater financial freedom, these things do not matter as much. For good or for bad, financial freedom to this degree does give people a chance to do whatever they feel like doing. To be more careful in these situations and take things slower to figure out the person and the relationship extremely carefully is a completely other issue. But I think the negativity that this discussion projects is a little alarming.

I'm from Kenya and when the lion has cubs, he goes off for days marking out his territory and the lioness has to stay behind, hunt for food and protect the cubs while the lion is away. The lion swings by three days later to check if everything is okay, plays with the cubs and when he's had enough he goes bush again for another few days. But, everytime he comes back all the lionesses and cubs run out to greet him with hugs and kisses.
