My favourite scene: (Spoilers!) Schultz: [aiming rifle at fleeing Ellis Brittle] You sure that's him? Django: Yeah. Schultz: Positive? Django: I don't know. Schultz: You don't know if you're positive? Django: I don't know what 'positive' means. Schultz: It means you're sure. Django: Yes. Schultz: Yes, what? Django: Yes, I'm sure that's Ellis Brittle. [Schultz shoots Brittle] Django: I'm positive he dead.

I have just seen this film. And I gotta say, I had a sweeet-ass time. OMG even though the violence and the gunfights and all is awesome (not the slave brutality scenes though, those were hard to watch), what I love most about this film however gotta go to the dialogues. I mean the dinner scene? Brilliant, period. The performances blow it out of the park. Tarantino, you have yourself another fan.
@Never_heart5 жыл бұрын
Kha Ngo And it shows how good of a director Tarantino is. To make savage violence both a rush and so fun yet on thise right narative moments he knows when to make you feel so uncomfortable and dirty just to be a bystander to such vile brutality.

Sorry Avi Kid, it's not a fact, The Man With No Name trilogy is indeed good, but I don't feel they are the best westerns, taking away Django Unchained, I'd put The Wild Bunch (Director's Cut), Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid, Hang 'Em High, Two Mules for Sister Sara, and Wyatt Earp on my top list of favorite westerns. If I did a top 15-20, then I'd put all three Man With No Name movie's on there, and possibly Once Upon a Time in the West, which like the Man With No Name movie's had a superb soundtrack.

I actually went into this movie without knowing anything about it, not who directed it or what it was about, I was intending on watching another movie and ended up seeing Django and I gotta say that was one of the best things that ever happened to me. I came out of the theater with such satisfaction, and shock, and a bunch of other emotions that I haven't had due to a movie in a long time. It's top on my list of favorite movies, and I love every single thing about it. It's a masterpiece.

Chris Stuckmann, I was taught in university that, when you write (or video) a critique, you are required to find something negative, even if the overall review is positive. With the exception of your review of "Signs," which I found to be one of your lower-ranking reviews, you do a really excellent job in finding something negative, and it never seems to interfere with your positive remarks. Bravo!
@ReddFoxx15624 жыл бұрын
There are no requirements for a genuine critique.

The scenes with the masks is amazing. In the original Django, many people wearing similar white masks try to kill Django. Tarantino must have watched it and be like "Am I expected to believe that those guys can see through that white bag?" and made a parody of that, in his version of the movie.

Jackson's character was so great. He got away with so much because deep down you knew he was smarter than DiCaprio's character and his sister. It was so satisfying to watch even though he is one of the villains, and one of the worst kind, someone who sells out his own people.

One of Tarantino's best works! Jackson, Dicaprio, Waltz, and Johnson all make Foxx look like a rank amature in this film. Don't get me wrong; Jamie Foxx did a fine job in the movie.
