I just took a look at the reviews and all the negative reviews just say "woke garbage". Gee, it's about a woman put down for her whole life because the colour of her skin and another who was always praised because the colour of her skin these idiots are complaining. What did they think it would be? The entire premise of the story is woke...in the proper sense!

The film is epic and grand. I was entertained like hell. Yes the first one is a modern classic but this stands on it's own legs to a degree. The only things that bothered me were the digital monkeys and the sharks. The rhino I thought was cool. Also Paul Mescal tries hard but doesn't have the same charisma and weight like Russell Crowe did. Other than that it was a great ride in my book.

Wicked gets a capital M for MEH! If you love musicals and are a female, this movie is for you. Enjoy. Men with testosterone are better off skipping his one! Skip Gladiator 2 as well. I just picked up that TV, thanks for the ad.

It had good elements but to be honest to me there were too many plotholes and way too standard 'bland horror' elements. I do get that the twist is pretty nice, but it is another What lies Beneath (hitchcockian with very 90s 2000s cheesy vibes) Still perfectly entertaining and scary and I wanted to punch someone's face but a masterpiece? No.

I don’t mind a phone going off or a phone alert here and there because accidents happen. It’s when people try to be comedians, won’t shut up and are begging for attention. Especially teenagers that purposely try to troll everyone to feel cool

As a man who is incredibly self conscious about his body, I really liked this movie. It is targeted more so towards women, but it’s very true about how obsessed we are to look as good as possible. I see it as a critique of not only society, but plastic surgery and medicines to slow down “aging” which can result in horrible side effects. Ultimately, it’s all about being happy with yourself and how you can maintain your looks in safe and natural ways, while still accepting change

I’m convinced that Fred Durst is the master troll who hasn’t even hit his final form. First, we have “Can’t talk too long, I gotta poo,” and then we get the goldmine of unintentional comedy of Corey Feldman for an entire fucking tour called Loserville. 🤣🤣🤣 Every single time I hear the “I can’t talk very long, I’ve gotta poo, it breaks my fucking brain because subconsciously I am hearing Nicolas Cages voice, and holy shit, all of a sudden “Face Off” makes a ton of sense now…

Gladiator II is fine, but everything about it is worse than the original and significantly so imo. Denzel Washington is the only thing that comes close to being on par with the greatness of the original and even his performance isn't at the level of Phoenix or Crowe.

the only real issue i have with Erivo's performance is that, while I think she's phenomenally engaging as an actor, she drops it during some songs and just sings. Big example imo is I'm not that girl, sounds lovely but I felt like the character just sorta slipped away and disappeared in that moment and I was left sitting in my chair watching someone sing at me for a couple mins also to a lesser degree, near the ending of defying gravity; sounds phenomenal but i cant say a whole lot else about it overall just some very minor bumpy patches in a great production

PLEASE READ: I know the feeling of being so satisfied and validated when you hear things you've been concerned about being talked about/portrayed on screen, and I'm certainly not trying to take that away from you. I'm glad you were able to find some sort of comfort in this film. However, there are some counter arguments that need to be made (respectfully). I'm VERY sorry about the experiences you had with religion growing up and about the long-lasting effects it all had on you (I saw your video about that). HOWEVER, you should *not* confuse/conflate those bad experiences with religions in general. Most (proper, mainstream, well-established) religions and most religious *people* are NOT like what you experienced growing up. I'm not trying to scold you, talk down to you, or minimize your difficult experiences; I'm just trying to explain certain things (in a kind way). With religion, just like in the institutions of education, the police force, the fire department, etc- there will always be bad actors, but they are a MISREPRESENTATION, not the DEFINITION or prime example of the institution and of most people in it. So many bad things that are associated with religion are not from the religion itself, but from people who *misuse* their religion. People being religious doesn't just come from blindly believing what one is taught from an early age. There are plenty of people who are raised religious, but go through a period of questioning before coming back to their faith. Then there are people who are not raised religious at all, but something happens to them in life that brings them to having faith. Most religious people I know have at some point questioned or struggled with aspects of their faith. Many religious people are very well educated, not just on their own religion, but also on the world out there (they don't just live in a bubble). Also, science, archaeology, history, and other sources back up many things written in the Bible, thus giving people valid reasons for believing in Judeo-Christian beliefs. The point is, being religious is *not* just blind submission. Also, contrary to what Hugh Grant's character said, religion is NOT about control (nor about obedience or manipulation). Most religions are about LOVE, GOOD deeds, and about doing what's right as a result of understanding what's right, WHY it's right, and doing it for the inherent GOOD of it/for the benefit of people. Variations of the same core religions are inevitable because different people will have different interpretations and different ways of following and observing the same written teachings (the same way that many people can read the same poem or look at the same painting and have different ideas about what it means). But having many different variations of any given religion doesn't invalidate it. If anything, it validates the core beliefs when people can differ on interpretation and practices, but agree on the core teachings. The reason why religious organizations go to other countries after a disaster to feed and tend to people there (and perhaps also preach to them) is NOT to catch them at their most vulnerable to gain control over them- it's to give them what they NEED to survive and heal (out of genuine LOVE and out of feeling a MORAL DUTY to do so), and to give them HOPE. None of these people (as far as I know) are forceful with their preaching. So what Hugh Grant's character said was very cynical and incorrect. People have free will. The philosophical argument that nothing is a choice and that all actions are motivated or based on what you like/what you've been taught- that can be argued on a secular level. However, a lot of times, it's not that your mind is being manipulated or controlled; it's that you genuinely choose something, based on a desire or even a whim. Also, not every choice is necessarily motivated by or even consistent with one's religion. (For example, plenty of young ladies who are religious have no problem with getting their belly buttons pierced.) I'm not trying to be preachy with all this- just trying to be accurate and fair. I hope this helps everyone who reads it.

I know nothing about Wicked, only watched Oz the Great and Powerful for my last trip through Oz, and have been let down multiple times by movie musicals this year. I can safely say that this movie absolutely blew my mind. Great acting, casting, fleshing out the story and characters, and sets up the showdown in Part 2. I can safely say that I was VERY pleasantly surprised by this movie.

I have to admit I haven’t searched for a review in over a year from u... But I’m actually so disappointed to have searched for Chris vids and get this almost forced response.. pressed n like not genuine at all. Why should we listen to anything u have to say? You wanna build your reputation and not burn bridges with directors and screenwriters .. sure. Bt then maybe we don’t want this type of content either, feeding us info that might not even be a good quality . Every one and their mom knows gladiator DIDNT NEED A SEQUEL.. besides the story is far fetched from the original admittedly. And the only reason I don’t talk further shit abt it is becaz the epic casting. Yr channel, and yr views Chris, was able to become as big as it did becaz people actively were seeking your advice. Becaz you sugarcoated nothing n now yr a mere shadow of ur former self. Good day to you sir..
