I got into playing gypsy jazz about 10 years ago after 35 years of bluegrass and swing, And I have to say that these guys are the best players in the world and it seems to me some of the finest and most fun loving people on earth thanks to Django for making it all possible . . .

I love these guys. Have loved Stochello's playing ever since I saw the Rosenberg Trio playing Black Eyes. The bass player about 32 minutes into the film is amazing (funk gypsy style)!

Last night I had a dream that I've met Rosenberg Trio (most realistic dream so far), hugged all three of them and then only wanted to see the guy who if recording and uploading vidoes on this channel and wanted to give him a biggest hug.

At 45:35 onwards it is interesting to see him trying to work out a guitar part by listening to a recording and doing practice-runs. It gives an insight into how he worked out stuff by ear.

As far as "manouche jazz" goes - Stochelo Rosenberg is the man!

@F0nkyNinja He indeed is a mystery man. But if you look well, sometimes you see his reflection in mirrors, windows and wine or beer bottles. Must be a lucky man!
