I am also thinking the video playback will work for lyrics. The sound quality is terrible, distorted when neural the vocal. Any ideas ?

Its not perfect some songs work better then others, I recommend testing the Neural mix part of the song b4 playing live

Hello Justin, thanks for your time and videos . I am keyboard player and i have Djay Pro 4 Ai on my ipad pro. I have 40 songs in mp3 and i would like to know if it's possible to lock, for each song a picture, for me it will be a picture of my sheet music, so 40 songs locks to 40 pictures, i will have a second monitor by the Apple usb c connector. Thank You.

Thanks for the info! I’m experimenting with a similar rig and finding out what does, and what doesn’t work. With video going out of the USB-C port through the HDMI adapter, how are you sending audio to the PA?

I have the audio going out of the controller and the mic plugged into the controller

@@justinspiegel6841 I’m not sure if I understand what your full signal chain is. If I understand correctly you are running the DJay app on your iPad and sending video to the television through HDMI. I would assume that you have audio signal coming from the DJay app on your iPad to your controller and if so what connection are you using for that? I have tried the headphone output on my iPad for audio and HDMI out of my lightning port for video with the type of adapter you described (mine being lightning instead of USB-C). The DJay app seemed to be reading that I was try to use the headphone jack to preview songs. Then the crossfader worked differently. I was trying to keep it simple and run video to the TV and audio to the PA and just crossfade from one song to the next as the current song was nearing the end. You can probably tell I’m a NOOB to DJ-ing and the app. My work as a musician led to being offered a DJ gig. I had to kinda talk a good game to secure the gig. Then I had to scramble for a few more pieces of gear and apps to make it happen. I pulled it off with no real issues while just playing song after song. But at the time I was not aware that many songs may be available for karaoke through Tidal. I was trying to switch between Karafun and DJay and I realized that the two apps don’t react the same way to how I was running audio and video out of my iPad. Later I became aware that the DJay app has a few different settings for headphones and previewing. I may need to experiment some more. No, I DEFINITELY need to experiment more! 🤣🤣🤣

@@justinspiegel6841. My lightning to HDMI and headphone output to PA works fine with the Karafun app. There’s no issue getting video to the TV. But with those exact same connections, the DJay app responds differently. My question again is, what is your full signal chain? And in particular, how are getting audio from the iPad to your controller?
