Written by Jessi Colter, she threw it away, however her Husband Waylon Jennings rescued it from being lost forever. Aside from Jessi, this song Storms Never Last would be covered by many great voices. Each Group or Artist puts their own unique sound to it. Thank you Jessi for writing it, and my former Boss Waylon for saving it.

I totally agree,I just miss those times so much:( the way this world is now is like it's already a living hell! I am 54 and I lived my teenage years in the 80's and I live in Az, I had the coolest life,we would cruise Central Avenue and go out to the desert and mudbog and all the boys had really really nice lifted trucks or really badass muscle cars,I just wish my kids could have had such a great teenage life like we did! I'm looking forward to being taken up to be with the Lord soon,I just don't like the world these days, honestly it don't matter who's President,they all lie 🤥 and deceive!

I recently went to see Dr Hook, I was a bit apprehensive as you go and see great groups from your past and they are very rarely as good as you remember them.... I was Totally taken back to my youth, the New Dr Hook were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, the songs were sung exactly the same, no deviation from when I first heard them. I can Honestly say it was the Best concert I have ever been to and would Gladly pay to see them again and again. If anyone is unsure about going to see them because the line up is different, GO you won't be disappointed x

@jonathankieranwriter3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Jessi Colter (Waylon Jennings’s wife) was a superb songwriter. Underrated, because she retreated from the business to focus on her marriage and young child, but for a couple of years she was outselling her husband and right in the mix with the rest of the bad boys. Wrote all her own songs/albums on her own terms, perhaps even more than the other “outlaws” but she chose the marriage over independent career. (There was not room for two big stars in the house.) She cooled her jets, which is a shame, because she was really more of an early (and better) Norah Jones type.

This band was great, they had a lot of versatility: country, rock, folk, disco, and here it has an island sound

Nice. Dr. Hooks's songs are very sweet and sound, Dennis has this magical voice and lyrics that I love 💕Their songs will never be forgotten in this world. Since when I've you been listening to Dr. Hooks's songs?

Played this a lot after my husband died last month. Sweet song describes our relationship of fifty two years.

MIRACLE vapor ... A stranger, here, but sending you all possible condolences. So sorry for your loss. This is an amazing version of Jessi Colter's song, though. He knocked it out of the park. Hope it brings some joy & comfort to you. Godspeed to you and yours.

My daughters all grew up listening to Dr. Hook and they love the old music. They listen to some of the new stuff too, but their favorite is all the old rock that I listened to. Dr. Hook has always been my favorite.
