Amazing video Dj Carlo! I'm totally agree with you. When you are mixing with different genres people like more and you are saying that you are a full dj. Cause you have the knowledgement of all the music and you know which is the best option to turn to a different genre. Thank you very much for all your videos, to me it's so funny and interesting to watch it! 🔥🔥🔥

I want to do something like that too. I’m going to be mixing jazz fusion, rhythmic New Age music, midtempo prog rock, boom bap, Downtempo, smooth jazz, hip hop soul, & gospel along with some soft rock, disco, light pop, new jack swing, funk, boogie, house, and polka.

Thank you MASTER once again...and this kind of MIXING is actually not frequently used especially by the new ERA of djing except for those who are truly a DJ MASTERS, or except for those who have dive deep into mixing DJ..like you xD.. I think this kind of mixing will really help a lot especially if you have to use old song in your mix and also yep new songs as well..but mann this kind of mixing level is insane really really insane...not easy but yet ultimately rewarding in the end..thank you for sharing the real meaning of mixing song to us Master..really really awesome..of you..

After playing a few years doing primarily hip-hop and EDM themed nights, I reluctantly accepted a gig playing at a Rock club. I needed the steady work and figured it would hold me over until I could get back in my comfort zone. Though creatively mixing dance and hip-hop in with the rock jams, I transformed the venue into an open format staple of the nightlife in that city. It challenged my abilities and ended up being my longest held residency to date and became one of the most rewarding experiences of my DJ career. Now almost every gig I play is influenced by the skills I picked up.

Here is what I been wanting to know. How exactly do you blend slow rock, pop older music.Stuff I see called like romantica mix etc. It's where a slow song loop plays. At which many songs are over that one loop.Like say for example a Phil Collins loop and that plays low in the back. You can hear it, but a song goes over it.Or take a slow reggae loop over older pop love songs etc.

It also depends on the types of events you do, like me for example, because I'm just starting out I do a lot of smaller raves, events, and I might even be doing a small convention here in Toronto in March, so I tend to play a lot of UK/Happy Hardcore and Drum N' Bass, so a lot of my mixes tend to be one genre.
