After years of honing my craft on the turntables, I moved on to the Denon SC3700 media players - and I gotta say, I'm still rockin' with them. Sure, they aren't quite like spinning vinyl. I've had to kiss some of my favorite motor-off tricks goodbye. But the 3700s have held their own in my setup. They feel solid under my fingertips. Intuitive. Responsive. And pairing them with Traktor keeps me ahead of the technological curve, with all the latest bells and whistles at my fingertips. Are they perfect? No. But the 3700s hit the sweet spot for me between analog feel and digital functionality. They respect the foundations of DJing while pushing forward. And at the end of the day, their durable build and tight integration with my Traktor Pro workflow let me focus on what matters most - delivering a wicked-good mix for the crowd. The 3700s have become trusty partners in crime when I step up to the decks. I've got history with vinyl, but I'm glad the Denons came to save the day.

This is the BEST review on youtube of the Hercules T7 ! And remember to also watch the Innofader upgrade Mojaxx did on the T7 in a separate video. I have just yesterday seen Phils (digital dj tips) review and he didn´t even mention the Innofaders, and down in the comments he wrote "No Innofader upgrade is available to buy as of now to our knowledge" ... bla bla and "we review things as they are"....... WTF! Instead he says the Pioneer FLX6 was a great alternative, WHAT! A FLX6 with NO spinning platters and NO XLR , and no Innofader upgrade (like the T7), I dont know what Phil was thinking.......or was it a Pionner commercial he put in at the end of that Hercules T7 review over at Digital DJ Tips ? hmmmm 🤔🤣

Im a old boy (was active in the 90's) junglist/DnB head but really anything breaks and bass, I LOVE the look of this as I come from a vinyl background and the innofader upgrade would be essential however, I want 4ch mixer, I am more a mix'n'blend dj but do a lot of cuts, callbacks and crossfader work with some scratching and minor turntablism. So 2ch I find limiting as long mixes and being constantly doing things in the mix (no time to dance monkey dance like some who do 32bar fade jukebox mixes) and Ive been stuck with great hardware but 2ch limited. Granted Ive not invested a lot on my dj rig and have been spending more time learning music theory but If this was 4ch I would go out today and pick one up. As long as the innofader upgrade was available as the fader is super important in my style. I need my decks connected to the controller. GIVE US A 4CH HERC! NEED IT! Great review and love your vids mate, thumbs up n big ups from down under.

The eq faders being software is actually a major pro for me - let’s me play around more with my own mappings and settings. Between something like this and the rane 12’s, what would recommend for learning and perfecting scratching? The rane 12’s seem closer to the original feeling, but the impulse seems a really nice compact package with a lot of functionality as an all-in-one for gig uses as well. Hercules seemingly holding it down with a closed ecosystem from fewer players and Roland apparently leaving the controller game.

Hey brother, this was a very good technical review. I am an old pro, going back to the day of the Phillips and Thorens turntables before the Panasonic takeover I experimented with the Radio Shack mixer after the RCA joint, before the Alex Rosner Rosie mixer or jump to Numrak and the Bozak CMA-10-2DL, then the Richard Long custom crossover systems. My favorite controller before I retired in 2012 was the Pioneer DJ 1000 controller. I promoted and demonstrated Stanton when they introduced a turntable that stayed on track as you lifted it 45 degrees sideways. Two things about this great inexpensive controller that stands out: to save money and stay within a low price-point they made the T7 belt drive than direct drive and the crossfaders are inexpensive. The question is; how long will both parts last under serious work? With low Z, XLR outs, and the awesome effects this is a lil" beast. Okay, Hercules, send me a T7.🤣💯

This looks pretty handy. I have a preference for motorised platters (having learned on real vinyl) but belt drive motorised platters on a controller should be fine, even Denon DN-S5000 & DN-S3000 CD decks from 20 years ago were ok for scratching. As well as SL1210s & a mixer I have an original NS7 as I wanted an all-in-one system for the occasional gig when Technics weren't available. It's a fine compromise, but a bit hefty in its flight case. This Hercules is far more portable and has the benefit of better cue pads, effects paddles etc.

I just bought one of these and I ordered the Innofader kit with my purchase. Thought I would test it with the stock fader before installing the Innofader kit and the stock fader is pretty sharp! I normally use an S9 and have other mixers with Innofader Pros installed, but I was really impressed with the stock fader on my unit. I wonder if they have changed the faders in later assembled models because mine works pretty well and I even pull off quick flares on it.(and no, I didnt buy the Premium model) Obviously, the Innofader will be a better, but I dont think its absolutey neccessary; even for scratch DJ's. (Would be nice if the the stock crossfader was just a bit looser though) The controller overall is really good. Its great for cutting........pretty much like using a Stanton STX or a Reloop Spin. I have no issues with build and quality of it....Its really good value for money and I would recommend it to turntablists who want something light and portable. One gripe I have with it is that when blending, nudging the belt-driven platters is not great at all. Fortunately, Hercules added pitch bend buttons for blending so that helps.

I have had Denon 3700s and i wanted the 3900s but at the time i couldnt mahage it .The Numark v7s came out and i so wanted those and they were well ahead of their time .Djs that came from vinyl wanted spinning platter controllers and those were very good.I stuck with time codes and Technics with the Rane four channel 68 but that was eventually out of date and i wore the hting out anyway. So when the first Rane 12s dropped i was gobsmacked .The very thing i was hoping for was made .I had no money for these so i waited and then the mk2 versions came out .By this time i was able to get them and eventually the Rane 72 mk 2 mixer.I came from vinyl and started on home stereo turntables belt drive dj decks like Cironics then Sound lab direct drives etc. When it came to Pioneer cdjs .I liked them but i hated the static jogs so as soon as time codes came along i went back to turntables then the Denons then back to turntables then onto the Rane 12s which many including you Mojaxx were not sure about but i was pretty sure they would be a hit and when the mk 2s came along i knew they had a winner.Right now they are my fave decks though i would really like to get a pair of Stanton STR8s one day for my vinyl

Could someone please tell me why my Hercules T7 won’t turn on? It lit up for like 30 seconds before never lighting up again. Anyone else have this problem? This is actually the second time this has happened to me. I’m on my second T7. The first one last two days. This one now never even played a song.

Yeah you need to plug it into the computer.

I love it. Only concern in pro environment is dropping it, would the belt slip off? Would not like to have to put it back on right before a set.. 100% get this for home use tho

Belts are a non-issue. Portablists have been shredding on PT-01s for years without needing a replacement.
