I hung up my Cruiser roller skates years ago. But the memories of roller skating to this song on a Saturday night with my old girl friend at the rink was one of the best times of my life. I first heard this in 79, bought it on vinyl the same day (still got it!). Remember dancing to it in the discos in Majorca that year! This hit No.1 in a lot of countries but he never had another hit in the UK. Pretty much a 1 hit wonder but it hasn't half lasted, 41 years!! It will still fill the club floors today I'm sure.

Just offhand I’d say that Patrick Hernandez enjoyed DiscoCat’s wondrous remix of “Born To Be Alive”. Eurodisco at its best.
