Thanks Ailon. www.djembeweaver.com has written explanations, PDF scores and hundreds of play-along audio files as well as video lessons. So far there are about 50 separate lessons on the site and new material is being added all the time!

interesting video, i suppose John gives here really whortwhile tips for people starting solos. I appreciated in particular the advice to avoid mad rolls, I'd just add that the rolls need to be controlled inside the time division, it's important to check the rolls strokes are inside the 6, 8, 12 or 16, 24, 32 beat partition, so not just random fast strokes. In generaI I found the explanations very clear, thanks.

Pelleditamburo Thanks for the positive feedback. It's so important to play within your ability level when soloing...simple solo played well is always beautiful...

Pelleditamburo BTW I have a separate video just on rolls so this video implements several techniques that I have explained in greater detail in other videos...on KZbin...and in even greater depth on my website...

Hello, i have a practice question , how much should we practice everyday to have significant results, and still keep on with work and busy life? Cordially:)

likely I'll be your only reply, so I will try my best to explain :). Basically, practice time does not need to be more than 30 minutes. If you can only squeeze in 10-20 minutes in a day that is totally fine! I recommend a log or journal to keep track of what you are practicing, what you want to learnm, and what you've learned. This especially will help you not get stuck in a rut either relearning things and/or not knowing what to learn next. Look up tutorials like these with patterns and tricks to give yourself something to practice when you have less time than 15 minutes. Even playing to a tune that is the genre you are looking to play will definitely boost your creativity and improv because the music is going and you have to keep up with it. I hope these help in some way. :)
