0:27 Common's "The bitch in you" appeared on the 1996 compilation "Relativity Urban Assault" alongside Fat Joe's "firewater" and PMD's "Rugged & Raw."

Yes you are correct. I was more meaning it didn’t appear on any of Common’s albums. I probably didn’t explain myself clearly enough.

I'll give it another listen, but I remember being disappointed with it, and thinking it was not as good at the Boyz In the Hood or Juice soundtracks. But the bar was sky high in the Golden Age mid 90s!! We were spoiled.

Ton boulot sur Spotify est excellent. Tu es un très bon expert et c’est rare d’avoir de nos jours des gars aussi passionnés. Keep it real bro 🤜🏻🤛🏾

Dope upload bruh! Pete Rock is my favorite Producer & got me into beat making in 92'!! This was a grand showcase into his lesser known tracks!! I know them because I've studied him for years, lol. Anyway, I think you're on to something!! A lesser known production series with Producer's beats!! I lnow it will go over well!! Keep doing what you do!! 👊🏾💯

Another great vid, keep up the good work!!!! Out of curiosity, how do you maintain such an in depth knowledge of the samples and cross reference those in relation to the artists works across different albums etc. Do you have excel spreadsheets that you update and so on? What do you use as points of reference? I'm intrigued to know the inner workings of DJ Furio's encyclopedic knowledge 😂😂
@DJFurio8 ай бұрын
No I don’t keep any spreadsheets or anything like that. I’ve been collecting vinyl and been doing sampling since I was about 14. I also take notice of lots of credits on records. Websites like Discogs.com are useful for checking releases, but they don’t always have everything on there.

My favorite Pete Rock sample has to be the theme from The Girl From Petrovka (Henry Mancini - 1974). Used in the track Tha Game by Pete Rock featuring Raekwon, Prodigy and Ghostface Killah that came out in 1998.
