Just bought it, I'm super impressed with the size and modularity and features. Love it and honestly for POV style shooting it's perfect. But you definitely need a case, the build quality is very premier, a little too premium for an action camera that is bound to fall and get thrown around, you know what I mean?

Nice camera and I got it on sale. My problem is the neck lanyard for magnetic clip, when allis attached it will swing some unless I'm wearing a tight shirt. I'm working with it. All other features are great.

Buy a body strap. Do not use the lanyard magnetic clip. Use it only when walking not running.

Any way to switch off either front or rear screen when both units connected? They seem to be both on all the time which uses extra battery.

I have bluetooth and wifi on and downloaded the app from the QR code in the box and it keeps saying device not found. This should be a simple step no?

I really wish it just had the microSD slot on the camera itself. Sometimes I need to report hours of video per day, and I don't want to manually export files from the camera to the microSD card all the time.

If you fill the internal memory and then connect the battery/ SD card module does it transfer the files across and so free up the cameras memory to film again? I'd mostly be using the camera module alone on a drone and this seems like a killer solution.

yes if you connect the camera to the battery mod, you can click a button and it would copy the files from the internal to the sd card in the battery mod.

Hi there, I have a Samsung s22+ and when I downloaded the app after scanning the QR code (with the wifi and bluetooth on) the device never appeared for connection. Also, the camera is locked - DJI action2- and I can't use it at all. How do I fix this?

Hello, there. Sorry for confusion. The Front Touchscreen Module, Power Module, Magnetic Ball-Joint Adapter Mount, and Magnetic Adapter Mount all have a built-in magnetic lock that ensures a firm connection between units in active motion scenarios. The Magnetic Lanyard and Magnetic Headband use an attachment plate that is more suitable for daily lifestyle scenarios. The Macro Lens magnetically connects directly to the camera. Activities involving strenuous movements should be avoided when using these accessories, such as basketball, surfing, skydiving, parkour, etc. We recommend attach the Magnetic Lanyard under a lighter clothing. Sweater or other thick clothes are not recommended.

So I wanna know just one thing- how to set the date and time for it? Cause now it is not accurate and it is so hard to sync my videos from the two different cameras. Does anyone have an answer?

Hi there, the time and date of the camera can not be set within the camera. The time can be synced by the DJI Mimo app. If the time and date is not accurate, the reasons could be following: 1. The device comes with a timer. If the mobile phone is not connected for a long time, there will be a time difference with the default time. 2. If you take the Action 2 to another country or region but do not connect to a mobile phone and refresh to that particular country code, the device default time will not be refreshed. 3. The built-in crystal oscillator will malfunction and the internal time will become inaccurate when the device is used in low- or high-temperature environments, thus resulting in a time error. Therefore, please suggestions go as following: 1. Please restart the device. Connect to the DJI Mimo app so the app can refresh the device default time. 2. Please confirm if you have taken the device to another country or region. If so, adjust the time for the mobile phone. Connect the device to the DJI Mimo app and refresh the time. 3. Please make sure to update the device firmware to the latest version. Please let us know if the issue persists. Thank you.

Just an FYI when i scanned the QR code it downloaded but wouldn't update my already installed MIMO. I had to uninstall the app and then install the newest version. After that smooth sailing. Looking forward to playing with it later. Thanks DJI

On the DJI Action 2 operation page, you can slide down and select "System Settings" > "Language" to set the language. (The language of the operation page does not affect the language of the voice control, which only supports Chinese and English currently.)

The Camera itself and quality is really good……BUT It FELL OFF from the magnetic Lanyard from just moderate activity of riding a bicycle. And with such incredible luck… it FELL exactly when I was crossing a small wooden bridge and right into the river water 😭😭😭 So, now I still have the front camera module and all the other accessories. So should I sell those parts or maybe wait for a sale and get another…. Unfortunately, they don’t just sell the camera unit itself. Also, I am not sure if I have the confident in it anymore. It branded as an action camera and the magnetic lanyard function was one of the driving feature which attracted me for the purchase. If it cannot handle the role of an action camera, they should put a big disclaimer saying the magnetic lanyard CAN ONLY BE USE for slowly walking and have a high chance of falling off with activities!! So I am pretty about that and how DJI advertise it as an action camera and with footage of its use with the lanyard being able to handle rigorous activities. Anyway, perhaps I should just sell the Dual Screen module and get a GoPro instead. As I said early on, the camera quality is very good but don’t rely on it as an action camera. DJI should take out that lanyard magnetic option to help others avoid the loss that I experienced with just moderate activities.

i have tried running with the magnetic pendent 😏but the stabilization doesn't work properly in between footage you will surely experience shaky footage DJI is focusing on Action 3 they should fix this issue first with action 2 because of 3 action 2's users are suffering

I failed on part 2. I can't install it even after I download the file from the website. I can download it, but I can't install it. So basically my camera cannot be used AT ALL. And the fact that they don't tell you this on your website and force you to have a capable phone is messed it up. Not only that but this is not on the play store, you have you download it from their website. Basically what I'm trying to say is that if you use android, you are taking a risk of being scammed if your phone cannot download it. DJI scammed me of over 800cad with all of the other stuff I bought with it. Have to active a camera? Who thought that was a good idea to add that to the device? Well, anyways careful of losing money from these people. And I'm not joking around, that's exactly what they are doing is scamming people who might not even have a phone. Don't you think something like having a phone to use this device is needed should be on the webpage where you buy it? Do you have to activate a normal camera? Have you ever had to activate something that is already fully paid for that when it's shipped? They are trying to get more people who don't know that a phone, Wifi, and Bluetooth are needed in order to even use the camera. Basically, trying to scam as many people as they can to make the most money. No wonder their app got banned on the play store. TBH you probably shouldn't buy this even if you have a phone that can download the app. Having their app banned on the play store is a red flag. I wouldn't be surprised if the app has viruses and malware in it. Do you need to activate a gaming console when you buy it? Do you need to activate a microwave or a stove when you buy it? Do you need to activate a light bulb when you buy it? Do you need to activate any other normal camera to use it? Needing a phone that might not even be capable of downloading an akf that forces you to lower your phone defenses in order to download it. Then not allowing you to install it once downloading it? These people know that their app is taken down from the play store and they know this doesn't work with older phones yet they don't even tell you that you need to activate the camera itself let alone need a phone that is capable of using, needs Wifi and Bluetooth, needing to having to make an account like this is facebook or youtube and, having to download the file in a risky was. They want you to activate it so they can advertise their other products DJI only cares about one thing, getting as much money as they can. Even if it means tricking their users into being 500USD products. Whoever created that company should be ashamed of themselves

Please get the latest version of the app through DJI’s official website. User experience, functions, and privacy protections of apps installed through DJI’s official website are still the same as before, so please feel free to use them. Besides, just to clarify, a new action 2 needs to be activated first before using, users will be able to verify if it is a new unit by an activation is needed or not. Doing so enhances the overall customer experience, ensures the product is genuine and new, and allows them to purchase extended warranty services like DJI Care even after the product has been purchased from an authorized retailer. So, no replaceable battery and no replaceable memory in the camera module as also no option to charge an additional battery while using the camera since most often the battery/memory card module will be attached - what a terrible solution to buy such an expensive gear to just throw it away when the battery degrades or memory fails. Shame.

i have my osmo action 1 with the one battery it came with. if you want extra battery buy the battery mod, so you have two battery mod, and you can charge one whilst using the other.

The DJI Action2 camera model not only can be used independently, but it can also connect to the front screen module or the power module which contains a 1300mAh battery for use. You can replace the front screen/power module to meet the needs of increasing storage space or battery life.
