That D Log made a huge difference. I am surprised.

I was surprised too. Once I get a good work flow with the d log I reckon it will be good

@@AdventuresThings I believe so too.

That was awesome. I was pretty curious about these tiny little units. Seem to have a nice image and that stabilization is next level.

I really like this one, I wish there was an option for interchangeable lenses somehow

A decent trial there Mike. I notice the ISO wasn't up that high yet it was fairly light without the grain. Good to hear of the hike. I'll be tuning in for that. Take care buddy. All the best. Mark

Thanks Mark. I am planning that hike as we speak. I have a couple more Id like to get done this year as well.

Hi, which stabilisation did you use on this? the normal rocksteady or horizon balance? Id use mostly for POV from my backpack mount, or from chest with magnetic strap. Im planning to use this for hiking too, and try to grab a good setting for it for lowlight wood area +more sunny ones with the d-log. So far Ive seen -2 both sharpness and noise reduction, 1/60- 1/100 on 4k/30 with Auto white balance with iso set to 100-1600. i have an action 2 on all auto with rocksteady the first hiking experience was quite bad with a lot if shakings in low light. next time I take both 2 and 4 with manual settings too.. just need to catch a good weather on day offs in scotland :D Thank you in advance :)
@AdventuresThings3 ай бұрын
I used both in the vid but mostly for what you are using it for I used horizontal balance. I found it worked better with the side to side movement. When I used it for handheld I used rocksteady+ Dlog is great it shoots in h.265 which needs a lot of computer power. I noticed with mine when I got lazy and went full auto the footage would stutter because it drops the shutter speed so low, so ya going manual is a great idea. That weather can be a wee bit of a tadger from what I hear. Hope the hike goes well
@robertilles7243 ай бұрын
@@AdventuresThings thank you very much! I will try horizontal, probably fits better as I tend to walk leaning side to side more than normal walk especially on steep places😁

D- Log M is pretty cool to go with respect to color corrections and color grading. If you get your settings right in the pro way, you are all good to go. For such situations, you could also use the 25fps as well to allow more light into the sensor or so as they say. It would be much better.
@AdventuresThings5 ай бұрын
I have been playing with the settings more and you are right it is pretty cool. For most of the low light have been shooting in the 23.98 fps and it definitely helps. Thanks for stopping by and for the pointers.

@@AdventuresThings always welcome . I use the Osmo Action 4 now . Have been using the 2, then 3 and now 4. I’ve never ever used A GoPro so I don’t know how it works or how reliable it is.

Haha, I should get a polish camera lol. I have thought about a dog I do love dogs but it seems like a lot of work and responsibility. Especially when I travel.
