Maybe try keeping noise canceling off and turning the gain down? The dead cat should work on keeping the wind noise away
@BlueRidgeRider5 ай бұрын
The noise canceling is a big difference. I have the same setup. I used it yesterday for the first time. The noise canceling causes a weird, artificial sound. I’ll be turning it off. For use on the bike turn the gain all the way down.

good video. but Bluetooth audio is with lower quality versus audio from Transmiter and Receiver. Also when use Bluetooth you can't record backup audio in microphone. If someone want to use recording need to buy TX and RX version.

Thanks man! I think it’s good enough for me. I like it as simple as possible. And as long it’s totally clear what I’m saying I dont wanna mess around with too much equipment.

The clip on the mic doesn't have a magnet; it's just metal. The mics come with a DJI branded Magnet for attaching to shirt or whatever. (One per mic, so don't lose it)
@Biker_Johnny863 ай бұрын
Yeah you can also glue that DJI magnet into the helmet.. the magnets I bought in my local hardware store are very strong. I even have to push it sideways to remove instead ripping it off.

Use with noise cancellation but upsidedown mic so you can natural motor sound and wind otherwise it looks very artificial

Yeah I tried.. but for some reason I didn’t like it.. 🤔. Maybe there was too much wind 🌬️ that day.

Maybe turn you levels down a little on the transmitter & receiver there's a tiny bit of distortion.
@Biker_Johnny865 ай бұрын
Thanks! Yeah I’ll try that, but so far I couldn’t find any option to reduce that. I don’t have a transmitter between the cam and the mic. Maybe if I put that between there is the option to adjust it. 🤔

@@Biker_Johnny86 Select the settings from the right side of the screen and touch the microphone icon, there you can adjust the mic gain, turn noise reduction on or off, and mute transmitter.

@@stevesexton6194thank you! I’ll try that. Let’s see how it sounds.

Without the noise cancelling it sounds more natural, I prefer that. When you turned on the sound became kind of artificial.

Yeah I agree! That’s why I never turn it on.

How good is the voice commands to turn on and off recording while using mic 2 inside helmet mate? Helpful vdo by the way.
@Biker_Johnny862 ай бұрын
That’s a good question! I never tried that at all. But I could imagine that it doesn’t work at all. Because there’s a remote for the Action 4 that you can buy separately and mount to the handlebar. If you type that in on Amazon you’ll find it right away.
@RoadTales2 ай бұрын
@@Biker_Johnny86 wish you could try that. It is the easiest way to operate the camera. Gopros are excellent on voice activation. Insta360 not so much.

Hi, is it possible to connect two mic2 microphones to one action 4?
@Biker_Johnny8622 күн бұрын
Hi! As far as I can see it in the camera menu you can only connect ONE mic directly. For 2 mic’s you need the transmitter between cam and the mics 🎙️

With the mic position, does the windsock tickle your face at all?
@Biker_Johnny863 ай бұрын
It really depends on your helmet. In my shoei helmet it doesn’t. Of course if I push my helmet from the front I can touch it. But this is something that really depends on the persons chin and helmet model and so on. There’s small, tight helmets and there’s helmets with plenty of space in the front.
@DrummerOnTwoWheels3 ай бұрын
@@Biker_Johnny86 I’ve got a pretty similar setup but use a modular helmet. How have you stuck the magnets to the inside of your helmet for the DJI to stick to?
@Biker_Johnny863 ай бұрын
@DrummerOnTwoWheels First I cut out that plastic surface inside the helmet. It’s a very thin layer which doesn’t stick very good to double sided tape. Once I reached the blank inside of the helmet material I just used double sided tape and put these little magnets in. To make sure they still won’t fall off after a while I secured them with duck tape on top 😂.. looks pretty trashy inside but who sees it? 🤷🏼♂️😄 Because I remember one time I took the mic out and ripped out these little magnets. Now they’re covered with duck tape. 👍🏼

Hey man , does the Mic2 remains on when not connected to OA4?
@Biker_Johnny863 ай бұрын
Yeah the microphone stays ON when you turn off the OA4. And it reconnects soon as you turn the camera on again. Another cool feature is: the microphone has 8gb of storage inside. You can turn it on, press the red record button and just record yourself. And then transfer the audio of your voice to your computer, phone, Mac.. whatever 👍🏼

How do you connect the mic using bluethooth
@Biker_Johnny865 ай бұрын
Oh that’s easy.. you turn the mic and the camera on. Then you go to the settings of the camera and choose „wireless mic“ and tap on TX. On the camera display you can read then: Press and hold the record button on the mic until the light is solid blue, then press and hold the linking button until the light blinks blue quickly. Connected-> Confirm! That’s it. 👍🏼 From then on they both connect automatically soon as you turn them both on, but that takes a few seconds. 😌☝🏼
