The action looked phenomenal under water. Best review of the Action 4 i have seen, im still rocking a Gopro 10 might get me a Action 4 now.

Looking at the price it’s very similar when you get a combo pack, cheapest I can see is £280 on Amazon cam only with a few attachments

I think if I was to choose between the two, I'd go for the Action 4. I'm actually glad that I didn't buy a Gopro now, particularly as I have been mulling over it for a few years. The Action 4 seems to depict natural colours significantly better than the Go pro, it looks robust, I like the quick-change mount and battery-life is superior!

Nice video, the cameras looked pretty similar until you did the underwater test then the action 4 seemed a lot better, that water looked so inviting in this hot weather.

Defo mate! Its better than the GoPro 12 in my opinion, reliability is key isn’t it

I recently switched from a GoPro to the action 4. Really nice build quality and UI is nicer than the GoPro IMO. Great camera for freediving too.. Takes nice footage and the colours seem much nicer. I really like the magnetic mounting system too but i havent used it much as it is always in a dive housing! Battery life and reliability so far has been great too.. Its not randomly freezed up on me in the water thats for sure!! I'm sure other GoPro users are familiar with that! 😅 Great comparison vid! Cheers!!

Cheers Matt, I agree I had no idea how much difference there would be from a GoPro, I was always happy with the footage but once you see it you can’t unsee it 😬

@AirbornePirates So good, I'm going to stick with DJI for now! I upgraded from a hero 7 so it was a massive improvement for me. Do you get to keep the camera? Also, liked your little transition from civvies into wetsuit! Almost didn't even notice 😅

Looks much better to me... If I have a pound for everytime I heard a KZbinr complain about GoPros losing footage or overheating.. I'd be a rich man ;-)

I love the camera, main issue was with the underwater housing, leaking through the port, nothing a bit of epoxy resin did not sort out. Mind many GoPro housings I have had did the same. Really impressed with the underwater quality though.
