The higher your frame rate the more light you will need. It can be done with the right lighting but most people are flying in extreme low light conditions. Best to stick with 24p at night

I agree that the DLOG footage is undoubtedly the best, even at ISO 1600 - who'd have thought you could shoot at such a high ISO without generating too much noise - what a great drone the Air2S is!! I always fly D-log. I will have to look at my settings of the shots I got overnight. I was capturing some video of my city’s skyline and I felt the video I shot was more on the dark side. I did add a LUT in post production that helped a little but I want it to “pop” more than what it was doing. I guess I’m gonna have to experiment some more with flying at night. @@AboveandBeyondFilms so I checked and I was shooting D-log 1/60 at 1600 ISO. I had it set to 4K but switched it to 1080 mid flight. Video came out dark but was hoping to brighten it up a bit in post production but I’m not having much luck and that’s with a LUT applied too.

Interesting that's right where I tried to shoot at the N. Park sign and it said I had to unlock the location which never seem to work on the computer with the pins and the map.

You can unlock it by logging into your DJI account in the DJI app and then use Aloft to get LAANC approval.

hey this is a really good comparison, nice job. That green cast on the HLG is really bad, hopefully DJI can tune that on a future release. dlog was so much better than the others. you had a lot of background noise in the intro so may need to get a lav mic. great job on this, thanks for posting it.

Is there a negative to lowering your shutter to 1/25? Will footage be blurrier or soft? Are you better off keeping the shutter super low to keep the iso lower?

Great Video! Using Dlog gives you so much more flexibility in post to make color corrections.

HLG is used for HDR and should be edited with an editor that uses the HLG color space and a monitor that can display HDR to see the difference though it is backward compatible to SDR. I just started editing HDR contents using Iphone 12 ptomax and Lumafusion on a Ipad M1.

Different shutter speeds. The rule is you always set the shutter to double the frame rate (24fps = 1/50 shutter)But some people like to lower it to 1/25 at night to brighten the clip.
