@@DustinDunnill can you do a test in night conditions? I'm interested how well it handles stabilization in low light, bracketed photography and if it can "tap to fly" at night. My Mavic Air has major troubles with that even when flying in street lights it wobbles a lot and can't tap to fly at all.

I’ve been waiting for this one! Yours are the only range tests I watch anymore. Re your phone going dark, my iPhone 7 Plus does that and all auto settings are off. It can’t handle this app and screen recording at the same time, overheats and darkens the screen until I basically can’t see it and I get a CPU error. Only time it’s ever happened is flying this drone. Upgrading to an 11 Pro Max soon, hopefully that will fix it.

Hey Dustin. Greetings from Germany. I love your test flights and range tests. This was also a reason to buy myself my first drone - the dji mini 2 as an beginner drone ;-) And I'm amazed what this drone is going to do. In Germany now is only allowed to fly only in VLOS and not BVLOS - these are the regulations here. So I'm not able to do a range test in Germany. But please go on with your testings of these drones. Thank you a lot for presenting the dji drones in that way you're doing. I also decided after I have collected enough experience to fly this drone - to buy the FPV Drone ... Therefore I already made the flying license that is necessary and a must have in Germany. Regards Richie

Confirmed range of 5 miles and the camera will move with the touch of your finger.. I gotta get one! Excellent range test, Dustin! I did a range test of mine over Mojave desert and went 23000 feet. Battery life was incredible even in sport mode. Landed with 17 % battery. Screen went black a couple times and lost rc a couple times but it reconnected. Flew at around 200 ft high

You can also control the pitch of the camera (only up and down, not side to side) with your finger on the mini. Gotta touch the screen and hold until the icon pops up. Love your reviews!

I enjoyed this range test as usual. Dustin you're my favorite when it comes to range tests. I love the fact that you don't cut the range test videos, also you use various equipments to give us various perspectives of the flight, and you keep us entertained and glued with the commentaries while we fly. Another awesome range test Dustin, but you got it back with what 13% or thereabouts. Keeping it up past that is a sure way to damage the expensive battery. Lipos don't like being drained to that level and that one will probably never be the same after that. I know that you know this, but maybe some of the viewers didn't. Another great video in any case. You're a braver man than I!

Great video! I ALWAYS look forward to your Range tests....they are legendary....this one was a 7 ( 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱 ) on the drama scale...unlike the Mini's that got a perfect 10 on the drama scale 😁. So your range test confirmed that the MA2' occusync's range when under "ideal" conditions like yours is only limited by the battery life of the MA2....so we'll never know if it is truly capable of getting the 6.2 mi that it's spec'ed at...but 5 miles of crystal clear signal is pretty damn impressive. I hope you keep track of flight stats (# of cycles, flights, etc) for the battery that you flew to 0% and let us know how many flights/cycles you end up getting with it. The 64K question will be...Will it puff before it's time? I have to say I miss your Parrot Disco inter-Island tests. Time to pull the Disco out of the closet and get that baby back up in the air. Maybe do some whale watching with it 😉

Great range test, you gotta know your limits!, this proves on a full battery you can make it out and back within a certain safety margin. If it's calm not a problem, if it's a little blustery don't expect as much out/return range as the battery may drain to compensate more. Thanks for sharing.😀👊👍

Someone needs to do a range test where there are two people, one in a car and the other piloting the drone. Then they find a long straight road/highway and let the person in the car follow the drone and let it go until zero battery without returning to home. Then the person in the car recovers the drone. It would be interesting to see just how far the controller signal will reach. I know DJI claims 10km but I’d love to see it in a real world test.

Ok the Mavic Air 2, Amazing, this cheaper drone may well be on par with its bigger Mavic 2 Zoom counterpart. Except the zoom has zoom lens and better sensors. I own a mavic 2 Zoom and I can relate, its an awesome piece of kit. I have flown it a bit far during COVID 19 lockdown. The fact of having no helicopters and no planes meant that I could get some nice aerial scenary photos something I would never do when there's a bit of air traffic and helicopters flying around. Could probably have gone further too but I did not want to stress the battery. Also I know the area really well which meant that I had a very good idea of where my drone was all the time. One thing that I do wish DJI had come with sooner is Air sense. That piece of technology adds one more level of safety and peace of mind when in flight. A feature that I really would really love to have with my drone. Hopefully DJI makes this standard across all drones and lets be honest who doesn't like added peace of mind. Love watching your channels especially the range test even if at times there are nail biting moments and the odd question of Will it make it? Truth be told its thanks to your channel that I made the executive decision to buy the mavic 2 zoom in the first place. Thank you.
