You are fortunate to have so many beautiful places that you can fly without any restrictions. A lot of the really interesting spots here are on state property and the parks department does not permit drone flying. On occasion, I have stayed outside of a park boundary and flown over it, but I waste a lot of battery power getting to a spot and returning from it. I wish I didn't have to play that game. Keep letting the rest of us live vicariously through you!

The Air 3 is more and more attractive while watching it here! Your area is so vast and scenic! The northeast U.S. is lousy in comparison to this! I am sure you get cold weather and wind in those hills but a good day is worth waiting for after seeing this. My former colleague always talked about how lovely Idaho was and how much she wanted to return. Thanks for sharing.

Yep the air 3 RTH is so good. I love flying down and along the cliffs here to the ocean and the hitting RTH while in optimal. Some of the footage I can I would never fly so close manually. Awesome machine. Love your vids.

Another fantastic flight. The Air 3 is very tempting but I think I'll have to stick with the good old Air 2S for a while. Getting another Drone while trying to retire would probably not go over that well at home. LOL. Thanks for sharing and keep them coming.

I was going to say you should used the 3x zoom camera to get in tighter, LOL. But the digital zoom on main camera did a pretty job, so at least you got to test that out for us. Beautiful area and trials to explore. Great video, and thanks for sharing.

When you switch to the 3x lens, does it do it seamlessly while filming or do you need to stop the video to switch cameras? Those rolling hills look a lot like the rolling hills in much of the Southwest. Definitely some nice bike and horse trails there.

You can crop to 3X seamlessly, but if you switch to the 3X tele lens you have to stop recording. 👍

I've hiked both of those trails a few times and it's cool seeing them like this. I'm curious if you've run into people who have raised a stink with you flying your drone in the foothills or in areas like Lucky Peak? I got a Mini 4 Pro a month ago and plan on taking it with me on the many hikes that I do. I typically avoid trails in the foothills because they are just too busy for me. I prefer solitude 🙂
