Interesting as ever Vjeran, thanks. I prefer longer videos - it feels like The Verge puts out a lot less ~10 minute content these days and I miss that and benefiting from the expertise of you all. What about doing a short + a longer video for things? Points I might've been interested in but probably aren't possible to cover in something this length: - comparison with Mavic - comparison with regular FPV quadcopter - how robust is it? - can you change the camera direction? .

Separate. GyroFlow is the one I use. The only thing you need to do on the drone is turn off EIS & set lens width to "wide".

Does avata 2 have obstacle sensors like dji mini 4 pro? Going to get my first drone so which would be better for general shots. Image quality looks same to mini 4 pro due to same sensor being used. Will there be any simulation available for avata 2 or I should directly start learning with actual drone with avata 2

No obstacle avoidance sensors here, just positioning sensors which help with landing. The image is comparable with the Mini 4 Pro in terms of clarity, color and such,, but aperture here is f/2.8 so will naturally introduce more noise in low light conditions. Are you looking to capture video or photos? (This is also not a 3-axis gimbal, so you won't get footage like your regular cinematic drone) As far as simulations. I am not sure, but don't think you need an Avata 2 specific sim. Most other ones will teach you what you need to know. Hope this helps!

Yup. No limits in M mode. However there is a warning on the app about it though. I didn't force it as a freestyle drone, but did get a few manual flips and dives in. It handles dives better than Avata 1, but you'll still feel some turbulence (which is to be expected).

At the time the Goggles 2 and Controller 2 are not compatible. Supposed to change in a month or so. I don't know if it will be both the Controller 2 and the Goggles 2 or just the Goggles 2, v2 and integra?

Goggles should all work, tbd on the RC & MC. Currently, only the ones work.

Too short for me. I feel this is to appease the algorithm. It sometimes makes me think that the algorithm is content creators version of shareholders…trying to please them is not always in the best interests of the customer. A ‘Short’ should be the short version of a video.

where is the onboard SD card located? Is it in the same stubborn place as the AV1?

Great question! And it is the VERY first thing I've noticed when I unboxed it. Good news - it is located on the side of the body, on a flat surface between the two props and it is super accessible! The USB-C port is also there. The Avata 1 placement was truly unacceptable.

Sport mode is slightly faster than before (35mph vs 31mph), but normal (17mph) & manual (60mph) are all the same as Avata 1.
