DJI Avata 2 - Pause Button Problem during flight

It happened to me without even hitting the pause button. I brought the drone near me at 30m altitude and removed the goggles from my face to land the drone, but all of a sudden, none of my stick commands would register for over a minute. I was in the countryside on top of a hill, and nobody else was flying a drone nearby. Very weird.
