DJI Avata Low light capability

Lol I’ve built quads but it’s been a while since I was using a GoPro session. Got the whole bundle with the FPV controller but yes that motion controller is for my wife. Probably also the first quad she’ll be allowed to fly since it’s not a murder machine which is very cool I guess.

Haha right ?! For me it’s the same, I let people fly my drones to try out. More confident I can press pause then snatch the controller. I always put it streight in acro 😬

Haha and this was my first flight, couldn't wait. That said this is my office area, very well-known with the surrounding and I know it's fairly empty. So it was not a high risk flight, besides being illegal flying at night haha. Thanks and i'll check out you channel as well!

Long, low! Definitely an improvement, the 25mw had more penetration then the v2 on 1200 mw !

@@ThomasAndersonFPV weird thing when nurk tested v2 vs 2. While 2 the mbps dropped real low still he still could see vs v2 at that mbps

It’s not bad at night as long as the area has some artificial lighting. The view in the goggles is brighter than the video file makes it seem.

Yeah, the goggle is loads lighter, especially if you turn on the brightness. I even pulled some light out of this one to mask some noise.

@@ThomasAndersonFPV I did the same with the brightness and it still looks passable. I gotta test it at night near the skyscrapers downtown when I get a day with the time. I’m still gonna fly it with the action 2 on top. I wanna see what I can get with the 4k 30 and gyroflow.

I think action 2 and avata have about the same sensor. I think you als can put Avata footage trough Gyroflow. Although any stabilization is better with higher shutter speeds ( thus 60 fps) Ive done ation 2 in low light, 24 fps but ended still using 60

The best advice, accept the darkness. Don't put it to high. Working away the noise coast more than just accepting some darkness.

What would be good? Go pro 10 or Action 2, are not coming much further. I could bump up the ISO(800), but I accept the darkness.
