DJI Crystalsky - Current Situation & Is It Still Worth Buying ?

3 years on in the U.S. and I found myself sort of NEEDING a CrystalSky. We run a training program for remote pilots who work in public safety, and we're always grateful for any donations of equipment. We received an M200 V2, with SOME accessories. We quickly figured out that in order to get it off the ground, we'd have to consider using a CrystalSky with the embedded Pilot app - we had problems loading that app onto iOS or regular Android devices. I found a used 7.85" Ultra-Bright at a reasonable price. Then I was horrified to discover that it wasn't displaying or downloading maps. I eventually figured out precisely which version to install (NOT the newest version, mind you), and the maps were restored. This thing is getting its own hard case and Faraday bag...

Terrific and clear video, although frustrating of course to think that the next models will not work with it as I enjoy using it daily with my M2P and Inspire. Thx again for this.

Thanks for the update! I'm several firmware updates behind on my mavic pro2 and have been flying it for sometime without any issues.

Hi. I do use the CS monitor with my M2P and haven’t noticed any problems. You mentioned it not having all the facilities available for the M2P. What am I missing, I can’t say I’ve noticed any glaring omissions. Thanks, take care. Peter

Amazing video. I just want to ask if it can monitor something that comes from the HDMI? or is it just output? I also want to use it as a camera monitor? is it possible. I have Blackmagic camera and I want to connect it via HDMI cable.

I want to sell my Mavic 2 Pro before Mavic 3 is released. I am not sure if I should sell with CS Ultra with it or hang onto it... If it might work with the Mavic 3 or it may have some other uses with DJI FPV Goggles? What do you think?

when you say ME2 are you referring to the mavic enterprise dual? I've been flying it with the crystalsky with the pilot app without much problem. the only issues I've had is not getting it to record straight to the crystalsky only to sd card on the drone and when I updated the pilot app I thought i lost the MSX feature, but i found it a couple weeks ago, they put a white slider bar in for it and the slider button is also white so you can't see it until you move it by accident.

G’day Mick, I have crystal sky 7.85 U V3.0.2.0 on the Inspire 2. The first 6mts great but the last 3 times I have had problems it will freeze loose connection then I can’t turn off or on than nothing I have to remove the battery and let it sit, when I get it working then asked for updates and I can’t connect to internet via hot spot I have had to go threw the process of updating three times now, have you heard this before. We have got the 7inch crystal sky and inspire 2. All updated to the latest firmware and DJI go 4 app. They are very buggy . Need often to be rebooted to work better . Any suggestions to improve this situation ?

Im using 5.5 verion with Inspire 1 Pro, it works quite good. But I cant install DJI GO on it, and you say in the video tht it is in the background, how is it possible to bring it up? Tried to install it with no luck.

Go into the launcher settings and change Go 4 for Go ,

Hi, you may be able to give me some advice regarding my i2 x4s. In the go4 app top right in "camera view" there is the AE padlock. If I have the exposure "unlocked" and it is clearly unlocked then I tap the screen to focus, a yellow prompt pops up and says Warning Auto Exposure "locked".......... Now it's not locked and it happens with a tablet or Crystalsky. I suspect software or camera. Have tried rolling back fw to no evail. What do you Think?

Sounds like a software problem but do the camera calibrations anyway , for piece of mind. You can do a factory reset on CS but again, that is probably not the problem source here.

DJI EOL system has no rhyme or reason. The Crystalsky is a great replacement for the iPad in bright Sunlight and is usable on other Equipment as well. They definitely don't think long term; It's always "What can we get them to buy now". - Since they don't make units that work across the board with all their Aircraft, one is always looking elsewhere.

You can try installing the App if it supports wifi however there is no HDMI in.

The day after I buy the DJI FPV Remote Controller (uses same battery as my 5.5” CrystalSky), the CrystalSky screen freezes suddenly after normal use and will not revert to normal operation. Planned obsolescence at its finest! 🥴

How does it look ? Does it have a strange dark band around the out side. ? Like the screen is being pressed from behind Their is something you can try. Take the battery off and leave the it pointing upside down for 48 hours. It will come back to normal.

I bought the Tripltek T7121, 10000 ma batterie , 1200 nits, runs Dji Go4 and DJI fLY APP, 64 Bits, Better and cheaper. Look at it
