Okay so they could just keep making the current products and selling it, that makes no sense at all, even the most current stuff flying would be the same risk as any new stuff they would sell. So basically they're trying to gaslight us again.

Ordered a DJI Air3S over a month ago. US Customs failed to release it for shipping while requesting a copy of Federal tax return cover and SS card. Two weeks passed no drone. DJI called and apologized for delivery delay in US Customs and said they would send another Air3S. Second Drone sent, Customs again requests a copy of Federal tax return cover and SS card, both supplied. Not sure why Customs needs a copy of your tax return and SS card to purchase a toy drone but apparently, they do. About two weeks passed since DJI sent second drone. Same thing as last time constant US Customs scans of package with no delivery movement. Over a month has passed since original Air3S order. US Customs recently notified it could be another three months until they release the drone. After notification of three month confiscation all US Customs updates have stopped.

I'm so glad I don't live, or fly in the US. Sorry to say this, but your country is an shining example, for the rest of the world, of what NOT to do. Your ship is no longer just taking on water, it has started to sink. Good luck!

This is possibly why the rumoured Mavic 4 FCC labels are already registered, to circumvent this ban potentially, I wonder if we could see more registrations before the ban comes into effect for upcoming products in the next 6-12 months?

Yes, it was cut out of the NDAA and then the House re-published it as a separate piece of legislation known as the 'Countering CCP Drones Act'.

I'm not sure what new information is being reported here. The Senate NDAA package didn't include the ban language passed in out of the House months ago. Is there indeed some new, late November legislative development, or is this literally just a misleading re-hash of months-old news?

If I remember correctly the original air unit lite (caddx vista/RUNCAM link) doesn’t have fcc certification, yet it’s still sold. Granted it’s just a video transmitter but I wonder if maybe they will sell new drones but just the pilots who fly them will be liable for any fcc violations. Maybe dji being on the list now changes things though

I’m confused. They had this in the NDAA but it was taken out. Did they put it back in? I have not heard that from any other source.

DJI has many products that use/require FCC certifications. DJI mics, and cameras and gimbals too. Even WiFi and Bluetooth are affected by this. I have ALWAYS said,..this is not a "drone security" complaint by the US. It's about the US "financially" attacking DJI as a company for it's political ties.

I don't even care about that. I just don't like how they're doing it before there's a viable alternative.

I’m hoping for some positive news on this to change. As I hope that this hey see how badly this will hurt the drone manufacturing industry as a whole. American companies have not yet been able to make a product that will compete with DJI at its current price range. We need DJI to save countless lives as it has done so so far! It would hurt a lot of jobs for many people in America. All this just sucks!
@cartermoses41362 сағат бұрын
Everyone is saying what will happen within this year, but what about years to come? Let's say 3-5 years from now, could things change? DJI will continue to advance and make insane products and I am very excited about the mavic 4 pro coming out, it would be such a bummer if this passed permanently for the foreseeable future, but I want to know if there is hope in the future? Let me know what you think about this!!

It's a standalone piece of legislation now called the 'Countering CCP Drones Act' and it is through the House and headed to the Senate.

I find nothing about this on the Congressional Web site - bills past. Are you not conflating this with the FAA 5 year authorization Bill which Stefanick added DJI Ban to; but was removed when it went to the Senate? Please provide specifics on bill past. The other bill that Stefanick introduced was H.R.2864 Countering DJI Drones Act, which did pass the house, but I find nothing that it has passed the Senate. As Congress is in a Lame Duck session and on recess this week; news is not the most current.
