I have a mini 3 with RC which has a great camera and handles great in the wind. I ‘m now thinking of getting a Neo instead of the Flip so I can have a follow me drone and possibly delve into FPV. I was thinking getting the flip for follow me mode but I think I would be disappointed since I already have the mini 3.

It’s an action drone… perfect for skiing, biking, hiking, family trips, vlogging - and it’s got an awesome camera. It’s half the price of the Mini 4 - not fair that everyone’s comparing it to that… plus the Mini 4 needs a controller.. which is a pain in the ass if your skiing, hiking, etc.

In a way but then it doesn't really avoid any obstacles - just stops. At least Neo did its best to go around stuff. And as I said - as a basic package it's a good deal. As a fly-more... not so much.

@ Yeah - agreed. Hopefully they’ll add Bypass in a firmware update. The drones for loads of potential- just not quite there yet

@ had some epic crashes there with most DJI drones filming mates… let’s just say tracking doesn’t work on any drone there so far 😂

I bought Mini 3 (non pro) 2 days before launch for £309. It has only 30 fps and obstacle sensor. I’m thinking of returning it and get DJI flip instead for £369, what do you suggest?

I'd say so - it's gonna be a bit less resistant to the wind but overall it gives you more options plus being able to film in DLOG-M.

@ can’t make that decision for you but the Flip is an awesome first drone. And don’t stress too much about small things, just get out to some large open area away from people and get flying!

I live close to some beautiful nature but I am not able to go outside a lot because I'm sick. So I wander if I would buy this drone. Just to fly this drone over the fields and river when I can't go out. The quality of the video seems oke and the noise is not too much so nobody will complain. Never used a drone and this is a nice drone to try it out for a nice price I think

It's a nice little drone if you stick to the basic package. If you're looking at Fly More Combo then I'd add about 20% of the budget and get the Mini 4 Pro. But at the base price of the drone + battery + controller - it's really decent!

If you could just, shuriken toss this thing in the air like a ninja star and it automatically unfolds and flies it would be INFINITELY cooler. Just saying.

Just do not get this drone, I have the Neo and will be very interested in the mini 5 pro. However the m4p is just amazing value at the moment at least for the fly more combo vs the Flip combo only 25% difference.

That’s pretty much what I said - if someone’s thinking of going for the DJI Flip Fly More Combo it makes more sense to get the DJI Mini 4 Pro for sure. At a base price though it’s a decent drone for someone who doesn’t own any yet. Can’t wait for Mini 5 Pro though! A bigger sensor and I’m defo sold!

Fly more combo in Mexico is almost 1000 usd, went with the basic that was here 450 bucks, I'm buying extra batteries and bag from other shops and is super cheap this way @@JakeOski

This drone makes no sense, as they already have the neo. Maybe if they went all in and gave it mote sensors so it can better track you on its own, idk

It's basically a stripped-down version of the DJI Mini 4 Pro. Not their best product but it has it's advantages for someone who doesn't own a drone and want's something cheap and cheerful with much better picture quality than the Neo.

@ nope but it's also quite a bit more expensive. That's the point in having different product tiers.
