As a coder for a related industry it is most likely a corridor string code to enable a future update to fit into the existing code flow that already exists. As far as a lack of release notes it might be so as to not reveal an unannounced upcoming feature change. I say this because the lag in the boot up time of the controller typically indicates the system is looking for a string in the code that is not active yet.

@@colinrobinson1960 mine takes under 35 sec from hitting power switch to being ready to fly in the app running all latest firmware. i have heard of guys having this sluggish boot issue tho which is strange as alot of us.. me included are unaffected

I was out flying today and had bizarre behaviors on the drone (gimbal was jerking around) and the Flky app on my RC2 keps suddenly dropping back to disconnected state even when connected. So hopefully this fixes the two issues.

Ever since I updated my 4 pro and RC2 controller. I keep getting signal interference and I know. I never had it where I'm flying before.

I would suggest going into the transmission tab and making sure 5ghz is selected it should help

I noticed for the first time today after updating firmware displayed on the screen (lower part a bit left of middle in very small orange font distance from the ground if around 10ft or below. Maybe it was always there as I very seldom fly that low.

Strange but just tried to update my mini 4 pro and it said my firmware is up to date! My version shows as 1.13.00

The aftermarket plus batteries are not useable anymore after update 1.00.0500. The RC2 controller reads "Unable to take off, non-DJI battery". Are there any solutions?

My Mini 4 Pro was flying erratically in forward flight with obstacle detection on at altitude (above all terrain/obstructions) I turned off obstacle detection and had a smooth flight. I never had this problem before the last update. Hopefully this will fix the “known issues”

Thanx Gavin. I dont have the mini 4 pro, as I have the mini 3 pro. Couldn't justify it. With that said, the Avata 2 is REALLY high on the want list. Dive in kind sir...so we can see ALL the in's & out's...Do you think DJI will ever release the SDK to Litchi for the Mini 3?

That new mini 4k drone doesn't make much sense to me, other than trying to squeeze every last ounce out of that platform, maybe its a good thing to rebadge the mini 2 and sell it again as people will have to learn how to fly properly, and not rely on the obstacle avoidance sensors that are on the newer mini 3&4 pro, on various facebook drone groups i see on a daily basis newbies crashing their mini 4 pro, mostly due to not have a clue about their surroundings and then relying on the sensors to keep them out of trouble, i had the Mini 2 and learned how to fly properly, but i wanted more flight time and better camera capabilities so bought the Mini 3.

I have to say actually just how much I enjoy flying the mini 2, it goes where I want it I can fly it in tighter spaces and exactly as you say you have to fly it properly I agree 100%

awfull experience with firmware 01.00.0500 and App 1.13.2 on mini4 pro . With "camera view" mode the image sent by the camera is totally black . Unable to take pictures . Moreover support tells me that it is impossible to downgrade firmware to 01.00.0400 as the firmware contains "security updates" . Dji assistant shows only one version . Downgrade of app to 1.13.00 does not solve the problem either. Is there any workaround to reload 01.00.0400 firmware ? Can it be downloaded somewhere ?

I have a confession - I accidentally cut it out - basically because the Mini 4K won't be compatible with the screen controllers even though it should be so no need for those to be updated

I'm on the latest firmware, just checked 2 hours ago. I have a plus battery and so far I only get a warning that the weight is not compliant with the C0 label. Tapping it, removes the warning. This is so far confirmed by DJI. Not original DJI batteries I don't know if possible to use though.

To be very cautious: I didn't want to do the updates, but I had to. I haven't flown with my mini2 since November. Mini2 and mavic 3 classic still have a good (or bad) connection. Completely sufficient within a line of sight of up to 300m. But I have the FEELING, particularly with the mini2, that the pictures and videos have become better (sharper). I also have the FEELING with the mavic 3 classic that the overall picture has become more "harmonious". I still have to compare it with old pictures, but I was surprised by the quality of the mini2 today.

Thx for that - but it's funny that I cannot update my RC N2 Controller (of the DJI Mini 4 Pro) onto the actual version 1.13.2. Controller always answers 'FlyApp (1.13.0) up to date'. It only works on my Android phone (funny!). Do you have any clue on this strange (and different) behaviour?

Yep! It’s because DJI have to push it to those screen controllers and for some reason they have not updated the RC2 even from 1.13.0 - it is actually quite normal for some delays but do not worry

Old Hyperlapse problem - free. Mini 4 pro+RC N2+Tablet Apple9gen. The drone takes one photo, then the image changes to black and white and the photo stops. The last time I successfully performed a Hiperlapse was on April 9, 2024, and the error occurred on April 27, 2024. Firmware 1.13.1, RC Drone Firmware 01.01.0300, Drone Firmware 01.00.0500

I think Mini 4K has maybe newer chipset compared to Mini 2. And where Mini 2 has SDK, Mini 4K won't have SDK.

Theyre putting the 4100 mah battery i made in the mini 2. I put videos up on youtube and forums showing a plug and play battery i made that got me 59 minutes on my mini 2. Thanks dji for stealing my invention and my idea. That mini 2 would go over 6 miles. I hold the world record range test for the mini 2 its on my videos.

Agreed. It does should like a rebadged mini 2. A poor investment even for a new drone owner as it uses the old 2 batteries and if you decide to move forward with the hobby they would be of no use in later models of the mini line

Feckkin DJI messing with our toyz. The constant updates only "fix" the issues with the previous updates. Only to see another friggin update to . . . 3 weeks/4 updates? But no improvements or features. Problem solved: returned new M4P/RC2 back to Amazon. Screw em. If I want a damn drone, the cheap-ass mini 3 will do me fine. AND never update the damned thing. Phooey, DJI.
