I just got the firmware update notification, and after going thru the restart I checked if it was successful, nope, it wasn't. So now it is downloading it after manually checking for firmware. Thnx for the heads up, ii really appreciate it. 👍

Thank the Lord they fixed that stinking speed issue. lol. It was funny at first but it got pretty annoying after a while. I agree with you on the new layout of the speeds and all of those plus signs are way too busy like you said. I may skip this update for the 4 pro but I need to do it for the mini 2 to get rid of the speed problem. Maybe I’ll have time to do it eventually. This retired life has been a bit hectic! Haha 🤣

you also have the option to update the firmware via the computer simply by plugging in a USB cable ..

Good info!! That is a lot of things to track!! I agree very busy. Lately I have had an issue every time I fly. It says I am not signed in every time. Does it on all my drones and controllers. I can fly the Mini 4 Pro and sign in and an hour later if I fly again I get not signed in. Just wondering if any of your viewers have had this issue? And how to fix it? Thanks. 🐾🐈‍⬛🐝🍻👍

I have the DJI mini 2 when doing the RC n-1 controller firmware update do I need to connect to the drone? And for the DJI fly app update also need to be connected to my mini 2 ?

Thanks for the video Nobbygreen! I just updated My RC2, and went for a fly and everything works as it should, although I see a discrepancy in the app and aircraft static safety data versions. I find the new layout for the Height and Distance pretty much cluttered and useless. They've placed the distance where the height used to be and stacked them on top of each other with some bizzare icons that are hard to tell apart in bright sunlight. I'm hoping its a firmware bug as you mentioned they are similar to the old go 4 app. I also agree all the + signs are pretty cluttered, and a bit of a joke on the RC2 controllers small screen.

@@manitobahunter7230 exactly 👍 if you look closely they are represented by by lines showing height and distance but like you say are relatively small. I don’t think it’s a bug I think they are intentional but as with new fly apps there’s always teething problems 🤷‍♂️ thanks 🙏

@@nobby-green After watching a few video's, I'm thinking they've moved it over so they could make room for the active track popup in the bottom middle of the screen when using it. I'd trade both icons for just a larger arrow without the lines, or a nice bright H and D :)

@@nobby-green I did a bit of posting on the DJI forum about it and see some other You Tubers commenting about it being crowded, so will see what DJI does. Meanwhile I downgraded my firmware on my RC2 a step to get the horizontal layout back. I was out flying with my MIni 4 Pro yeserday and the new layout was unreadable in bright sunlight. Its just to crowded and the velocity and Height/Distance readouts are of too similar a size for me to see clearly. I've watched my own screen recordings on my latop and its of course a larger display and easier to make out on there, so I can see how a marketing designer using a large screen might think its fine:)

I didn’t update my air 3 months ago and yesterday I decided to update it and surprise i can’t keep 1km fly without losing the signal and force me to RTH i fly again same place same height like before the update but now is so hard to make it there without trouble… 😢

@@nobby-green the pluses are that the battery lasts longer than before, and it finds satellites faster, but the range is terrible, little more than 1000meters and is dead.. before it was like 3-4km okay..

@@jupitherpither9215 I have that on my drone as well The RC-N1 firmware update and the fly app update I haven’t done the RC-n1 update because of the problems they were having so I never done the update and I haven’t done the fly app updates either. I texted him myself and he said there wasn’t an RC-n1 update just update the fly app. I find it strange that he said that because it still popping up to install the RC-N1 update. I’m going to install the fly app and see what happens!!

I just have to ask you the proverbial $64,000 question. Are you gonna buy the Air3S? Those darlings at DJI Retail emailed me yesterday to announce its arrival. Sat up here in the very North Of Scotland on holuday in my new campervan I of course clicked on the purchase link. Fourteen hundred and odd quid which is fair enough. I also clicked on the 'trade in' option for my Air3. I bought the Fly More Combo direct from DJI and they are very generously - NOT offering me the princely sum of £344.00 reallt? Yes really £344.00 I think that they are having a laugh. I really want the Air3S. I think anybody even remotely interested in flying dtones would want one. What I do not want are my pants pulling down and DJI spanking my bare naked ar5e with a rolled up copy of Drones Monthly. Sorry Nobby I really needed a rant.

@@geofflittler2035 hahaha. This has made me smile. With already having the air 3 I really can’t justify spending another £1440 for maybe 3 extra features. Yes it looks good but also having the classic with the hasselblad camera is also an advantage. I could have been tempted if it had an adjustable aperture. And £344 for an air 3 is a disgrace when they will resell it as refurbished and make over double that. I think it’s a no brainer 👍
