Everyone that owns any of the waypoints capable drones owe it to themselves to at least understand the fundamentals of creating a waypoints mission and practice creating them for the experience. I for one found the touch screen to be a challenge when trying to make inputs and changes to the myriad of parameters. Maybe my layer of screen protector is the culprit or just my cruddy finger tips that’s making it difficult but when I do finally get it right the results are so satisfying. Thanks Nobby for the many tips you’ve shared👍👍🙂

Nice informative video; thanks for posting. I recently bought the Mini 4 Pro. At 1"53" at the "On signal lost"-setting, you mention and use the option "Continue". I don't see (in the Netherlands) that option on my controller. Maybe it is region dependent?

Something I'm wondering about is if when the drone is flying from one way point to the next, does the drone gradually interpolate the instructions (such as altitude or gimble) between points or hold those instructions fixed until the next waypoint is reached?

It is alarming that satellite imagery is NOT made available when these DJI waypoints are being plotted. These waypoints are plotted on a map view that won't have any information about trees, power lines, cellphone towers, and other obstacles that -are clearly visible to the trained eye on the satellite imagery used by the likes of Litchi for their waypoint planning view. Unless the option to toggle between map view and satellite view imagery is available with this DJI waypoint creation facility, it cannot compare with Litchi whose high-resolution satellite imagery allows waypoint flight plans to be plotted with great precision around and over all obstacles. I am thinking of buying a used Mavic Air 3, but I will likely use a Litchi to DJI waypoint converter instead of this native DJI waypoint mission creator. Great video all the same, sir, and very informative.
@nobby-greenАй бұрын
@@riverbankfisher with DJI waypoints you do have to make sure you are clear of everything before you fly. That’s the only downside 👍 however you can get some great results thanks 🙏

Surely an engaging video. Using waypoints it's possible, but illegal, to fly beyond "line of sight". It's even possible to fly outside the radio range. However, "find my drone" will be out of the picture. Programming computers for 50 years, programming the drone doesn't feel interesting, at least not for a Mavic 3 pro.
