The motion stick is crap or feels like that ... unless you think twice and make a twist. This stick is not for you and me and those RC familiar guys but total NEWbies take the goggles of, start the drone, kick in the brake on the stick and then hand it over to your wife or daugher or old dad and eplain the basics and watch the steep learning curve. And the you can give them the goggles to cause then they immerse and things will change. If you think that would have the same results if they would start with a stick movement based Remote you are on the same side, but the false one. We had given them a mavic 2 with its Remote and the interest in flying the mavic 2 was vanished, no further interest, please give me the new one that is so easy to fly with the joystick. one big disadvantage they complained about whily flying fpv immersed: I can not really look downside where I will land ...

Just a guess: add "Felix" to your channelname cause it would make it easier to recognice and far more personal as your videos are so "Quadcopterguide FELIX" as you were or are our personal guide cause that is what the channelname represents, guide or guidance for Quadcopter and therefore that would be an improvement that everyone also knows your first name cause that is mentioned only 1 and very fast spoken in the intro. Why did I mention that right now? I had been in contact with kelly from ready set drone and to discuss a point about his visit of Bavaria. I did not remember your first name so I had to call you "your buddy from Bavaria" , the fluent english speaker ... And a lot of channel are not aware of this importance as the host of the channel. Makes it a lot easier if you extend the channels name cause it is "FELIX" content and "FELIX, the guide" that guides me through the Quadcopter jungle. There are a lot more drone channels that do not be aware of that and in livestreams it gets complicated if you refer to someone else ... and I have to remember a lot like Ian or Kelly or Bruce or Lee ... Yes, that might impact a lot other things but also might correct a missing point, the mastermind behind the "anonymous" quadcopterguide ... But for most viewers it is not about the channel but the person and your name is not quadcopterguide for sure.

Glad yours has arrived. I had a go in “s” mode yesterday. Looking to hit “m” this week now. It’s such an enjoyable flying experience. Thanks for clearing up the visible prop issue. My only question to you is when selecting manual camera you then go to adjust shutter to 120 (based on 60fps) however it won’t allow you to adjust the exposure value compensation. Does it have adjustable aperture? Is there any way to boost exposure once the correct shutter speed has been selected? Thanks.

Hey L&d thanks for tuning in again! What a fun quad the dji fpv drone. I will mess around with manual camera settings and talk about it in a future video. You could boost the iso if it’s too dark. The dji fpv drone has a fixed aperture. And focus for that matter.

Only reason I’m asking is that it’s important for me to mix this fpv footage seamlessly into premiere with 25fps footage from that for super smooth footage. Unless, is there a way to mix frame rates within a project in prem? I’m no expert btw 🤣

@@Quadcopterguide no, I tried true fpv but couldn’t do acro mode, and set up was a pain, plus I had stress flying them, I’ve had nearly all dji drones but sold the all for my dji fpv combo, this for me is the best drone I have ever flown, and being fpv of sorts suits me down to the ground. Your channel will do very well, your clear to the point, and honest. Love watching your videos.

Haha very cool. Make sure you take it easy and start with the drone super high the first time around. For me it helped to tighten the throttle screws in the back to remove the throttle return spring.

Actually you can justify it. (Assuming cost is not the factor). Unlike camera drones which we purchase to shoot video and pics, how about just getting it for the fun aspect. Totally new way to fly assuming you are newbie to fpv like myself. You can of course get creative and use it for video fly bys. I have seen some real estate videos shot on an fpv custom build using a gopro outdoors and it did kick that video up a notch. I will be buying this purely for fun and the gravy will be the potential use for video where i think that fpv footage would make a nice change in pace

I tried the naco file on my DJI FPV drone (I’m based in the U.K.) and as far as I can tell it’s not making any difference and no indication of changing anything in the settings (so no 8 channels rather than 4). I hope someone will find a workaround because as things are at the moment, just a thick line of trees at 500m distance is enough for the signal to be lost 😔

Felix, hope your well👍 Good video as alway. But will be interesting to see how quick the price drops on this fpv drone? Pretty sure it will be quick. Unlike the Mavics they are a great all rounders, On a plus that hand controller is a great gadget, unlike the standard remote. FPV is great for racing but prefer to build my own, where Dji have done this for people ease. Take into account the hand controller @£139 + extra batteries say over £139x 2 £278 nearly £1600 quid + Verdict not worth it 8 minutes of flying time per charge in sport or normal mode.

Hey Felix, well I did order one on release day. But after seeing what I considered minor crashes, and the arms and battery breaking. I canceled. I just don't think a plastic frame and fvp go together. So I went the other route got a controller, some goggles and a cinawoop.. it was the first time I was disappointed in a DJI product. The software looks great, but the drone design , to me seems totally wrong. for fpv . Holding it, and looking at it, little spark is built tougher than the fpv drone. You know there is a problem when DJI gave the early reviewers 2 of them to fly. I love DJI, but I got this cinnawoop, and I am building another one, from Bardwells instructional videos.

@@Quadcopterguide I went analog for now. I got the Iflight Protek 35 Radio master 16, fatsharks. Another reason I canceled the DJI fpv drone was the care-refresh. Usually on there drones when you add the deductible it works out to be between 15%- 20% the cost of a new drone, for a replacement. On there fpv drone when you add the deductible it is 64 % the cost of a new one. There going to make a killing on crash's.

Nice video. I dont think I would want to fly acro mode on a plastic quad. I think it should have been a cinewhoop so it would handle rough crashes. The flights I have watched are all very short even less than my taycan with a 6s 1300.

I spent enough time getting every extra battery updated. I think acro or manual mode is fine just make sure you are a few mistakes high. They emergency oh crap button is amazing. Number one feature I wish I had when learning fpv. I wouldn’t write off this quad just yet.

DJI can not currently update any app on the playstore due to the DJI ban in the US or however that is called there. They can not do it so we or the android users have to download the fpv app from the dji website instead from appstore. Therefore the simulator is not available and when the ban will be lifted is unsure so we might need a link to an apk place that has to be safe for download. I had asked dji support for a link of the android app but did not get an answer - but i guess sales inquiries for fpv drone will be served first.

No surprises here. You Tubes been flooded with these features and more. Your antenna advice was off slightly. There are dual band aftermarkets for the V2s. They are $90.00 ouch so I’ll wait for more options.

1. DJI FPV = No Mountain surfing? Max 500 meters from take off? Would be the biggest disappointment for me! 2. Next DJI drone, I think 'Air 3' ... no more 'mavic series' ... 360 obstacle and >4K 120fps ... OR ... 3. Follow-up drone(s) with/for FPV + 3 axis gimbal ... is similar to point 2 ¶ ;-)--~ just a thought! ♥

1 theres no mode 4, no costom stick mode :( 2. random found the button in menu to bind to dji fpv system- but switching back you have to re-bind everytime. 3.goggle batteries are loud 4dji v app sim? not for android. 5 spare parts? nah maybe later. 6 But its good for what it is, cinematic with the little extra. 7 for pure fpv bashing, i'll just shred my 5" or 7" its cheaper XD 8 its sexy. new and wicked mix for creators :D

Oh wow. I used the dji battery yesterday and I didn’t notice any sound. Will have to try again on a less windy day. Maybe the breeze covered the sound. But even inside it was silent. Maybe your battery is defective.
