Chinese study the roman empire a lot ... and to behonest: the drone market is dying, especially the FPV segment and all other drones above 250 gr. cause no one wanna fly FPV with a spotter day in day out. The Copters might get better, more powerfull but lot less demand. Drone sales had peaked last year, maybe this year depending on Covid fighting success but here in our town 18 old who had gotten the Pfizer Vaccine in mid of january 2x already are now infected with the british mutation and all our hopes for this summer and summer holidays and lifes are relying on that hope. less work means less money, means less net income and disposable income and therefore less demand cause people will jump on the holiday train this summer and money will be short. On top all of the regulations and troubles reduce the fun a lot and to be honest: what else shall come when 4K and 3 axis gimbal are close to perfect ? This is just a hobby like roller skates were the number 1 summer sport or the hoola hop - but just for a few seasons before all went dead. Finally drones are too loud and too intrusive, always trouble with people walking by and starting discussion or asking questions and calling the police. THe only chance is flying from far away and flying back like racing and falling out of the sky to give no chance to trace the drone. I have already sold 2 of my 3 dji drones , all from 2018, 2019 and 2020 the latest and greatest but only 1 remained: Mavic 2 Zoom cause that allows follwoing animals and flying over horse without drone cause the ZOOM offers to stay far more away while getting the same pictures / frame. I think the future are planes, FPV planes for sure cause people do not feel disturb and do not know that you can fly with a stabilized camera and more efficiently. Fly the same curse with a drone and 5 minutes later with an FPV plane people will throw shit on the drone pilot while the plane pilot will be treated very kindly. Therefore DJI needs new customer groups in the business area or new products like planes to get ridd off all the negativity about drones. A plane will not be called a drone, it is a toy like a bird up in the sky and more quite , but with similiar features except hovering.

I’m an fpv guy I fly 6s 5” quads mostly.. they are insanely fast and agile Honestly I’m excited for this drone.. it’s something innovative and different.. it might solve some issues with fpv but all I can say is.. It better have acro!

It actually looked like the balance leads were in between the positive/negative leads on the flexible battery cable.

Hey felix I fly fpv drones and have a mavic 2 pro. i dont think this will be a true fpv drone experience imo it doesn't look very durable and wont take many crashes at all compared to traditional fpv drones made out of carbon fiber and titanium? What's your perspective?

@@Quadcopterguide I dont agree, have you seen the newest leak videos the throttle is still dji centered and not full acro and for the price you could build a way better propper fpv quad and I dont even think that would survive one soft crash on grass at 40kph plus the batteries are over £100 each for 10 minutes flight time there are plenty pre built fpv quads as gateways already for 20% of the price of this I dont see the market there targeting hear apart from the massive DJI name the specs suck if you want a copy of the latest leak unboxing and spec sheet email me

I haven’t watched the whole thing but I know the video at least you are talking about. I know this isn’t for the hardcore fpv pilot but how many tens of thousands of camera drone pilots are there that are interested in fpv but don’t want the hassle of BF tuning, crossfire setup. Fixing little issues here and there that could pop up. I still think this will do well. I guess we will see. I can’t wait to try it myself.

@@Quadcopterguide I understand that but to spend $1299 on somthing that wont do what traditional fpv drones do I think they will be rather dissapointed it's basically going to be a fast cruiser at best the controller is a total rip off off the tango 2 and the price of batteries is rediculous I have 20x 6s packs for a days flying that makes this redicoulous to even compare I'm watching this with great interest I really think this will flop as a product tbh keep up your cool videos love your channel for my mavic 2 pro and look forward to your review but I hope you see my point as well

I was in email contact with a DJI salesperson last night. They stated the new V2 goggles will be shipped by the 20th of this month following New Year's holiday. I'm assuming that the new fpv drone will be shipped at that point.

It is definitely fast.. more of a replacement for LR 7” quads for cinematic sloflow fpv.. freestyle flyers, dont expect a gapping bando killer that will rubix to your hearts content. Although The tech it includes is amazing, collision avoidance & aircraft proximity warnings... Im predicting this drone will lead the cause or push for the new FAA restrictions & drone equipment requirements for built fpv aircraft/drones over the 250g...

Being an FPV pilot I highly doubt people are going to get the full experience out of this drone or they will break it trying. Nonetheless if it’s to fly FPV in a cinematic way with out acro then this drone is for you. Yes it will fly acro but it’s missing the things that make FPV drones what they are which is a strong durable crash resistant frame, high C rating lithium polymer batteries not lithium ion which are much lower C rating meaning it won’t have the punch of a traditional 6s lipo. Camera on a gimbal is also a bad idea for crashing as it will break easily. I really wish they would have gone more traditional and maybe built it like a DRL racer 4 with all the DJI hardware and software built in so it’s able to handle the abuse for the people who want to race, freestyle, powerloop, split-s, etc.

March sounds more realistic seen as that’s more closer to spring when weather conditions are more favourable for drones. Specially taking into consideration lock down restrictions in many counties will have eased a little more by then...

Firstly Noise on video sounded like an angle grinder being used in the workshop. Release I thinks will be April onwards. Think they will be getting over Chinese New Year and negotiating with US Govt re restrictions.

Kind of a scary sounding startup. I like El Smegheads version better. Great review as usual Felix, I'm Guessing $1400 us and $1600 for the fly more combo. I wonder if it will give you the best of both worlds, easy to fly mode like GPS and the super fast when you get into the air like FPV.

The sound is definitely fake. Notice how its pefectly quiet before the sound but the props are twitching which means the motors are probably making a sound
