I just flew my DJI FPV for the first time yesterday and had a hard time landing. I was in N mode and it seemed like the drone sensors were preventing it from landing. I got about a foot off the grass and it felt like it wouldn't go down and more. I decided to try moving both sticks down and inward, which I realize isn't what you're supposed to do, I just panicked. I thought it would just drop on the grass, but instead it starting spinning and yawing and eventually the blades hit the grass it tumbled a few times and shut off. Zero damage luckily. Everything I've read says just hold the left joystick down until you touch ground, and then either hold joysticks down and inward or keep left joystick held down for 3 seconds after you land. Can you help clarify how to properly land? If I push the return to home button will it self land or just return? Im just a beginner, this is my very first drone ever. Thanks

Hello, there. You can try calibrating vision+IMU. Visual calibration: Please download the DA2 parameter adjustment software, and connect to the computer for visual calibration after the aircraft is powered on. IMU calibration: Please connect the aircraft + glasses, open [Settings - Security - IMU Calibration], and perform IMU calibration according to the guidelines. If the problem persists after calibration, we recommend that you contact Support for support. Wait, so we can screw in larger antenna for the goggles but not the handset? I want to be able to get more than 3km's range and I live on a farm with no interference. At 3km's if I'm not at 500m the signal drops out way sooner. I've never gotten anywhere near 10k with my mini 2, I hear the mini 1 was rated to 4k yet I can't reach 4k with a 2 and I live nowhere near interference. The nearest neighbor is more than 4km's away from me and they live in the dark ages still.

I just purchased this FPV drone five weeks ago and I have around 60 minutes of flight time on it I already have an issue with the goggles. There’s a black dot that appears on the right side the black dot does not appear while recording so its in the goggles. I had to send them back to get fixed. I just hope if they replace them for me I don’t get refurbished ones I have a feeling I will. My goggles are in mint condition. Meaning, no scratches very clean. That’s the way I want them back. DJI tech support told me it sounds like a bad pixel but of course time will tell. I’m glad I didn’t have to send them to China. I had to send them to Texas which they will receive Wednesday. Hopefully it won’t take too long to get them back.

Activation was a nightmare for me as well. Here are the steps that finally got things working: 1) The appropriate version of the Android DJI Fly app MUST be downloaded specifically from the DJI website (NOT the Goggle Play Store). You need version 1.3.0 of DJI Fly. The app will still NOT recognize the FPV drone since everything has old firmware. 2) Download the DJI FPV specific version of the DJI Assistant 2 software on your PC. Once on the DJI software page, look on the left side. Software > DJI Assistant 2 Series > DJI Assistant 2 ( DJI FPV Series). This will download version 2.1.0. 3) Once DJI Assistant 2 version 2.1.0 is installed, you can connect each component 1 by 1 to your PC and update the firmware. I updated the Goggles, the Controller, and the FPV Drone. Once each of them have updated firmware, turn on the goggles and plug them into your Android phone. When you launch version 1.3.0 of the DJI Fly App, it will FINALLY recognize the goggles and take you right into the registration process. Simply follow the app prompts on your phone. Note: I was required to use my own personal USB to USB-C cable to connect the goggles to my phone (as well as the included USB-C to USB dongle). For some reason the included cable would pass data between my Phone or to my PC. Hopefully this helps. It is what finally worked for me. Now I'm all connected, registered, and ready to actually fly.

Hello i have 1 question.. When i hover in S mode can i switch in M mode when im flying or i have to stop and then switch to M mode. And the opposite when i fly on M mode and switch to S mode will the drone stop and fly with gps or it will fall?

That depends on your interest. Do you want to fly fpv or fly watching through a monitor. Both have their own niche and experience. However keep in mind that FPV will be more on the expensive side. Hope this helps ya

Question: Does this drone also have focus track? in the market for the air 2, bc of focus track. After seeing this, I can't help but to want it. if so, I'll skip the air 2 and get this instead. My footage out of the drone is very choppy. I have a Macbook pro that edits tons of Mavic 2 Pro work, but every video I create that comes out of the drone SD card has skips(brand new SD CARD), and the footage out of the FPV goggles sd card is good but not out of the drone. what is up??

@@johnnyboy1586 In order to practice with the DJI simulator, you need to install the dji virtual flight app. But, they didn't make this app for phones or tablets that are not Apple products. So, if you have an apple phone or tablet, you can download and use it but if you havea non-apple phone or tablet, you're out of luck. You're going to have to use a 3rd party simulator software such as velocidrone.

What would happen if I have let's say 10 sats and I have a RTH place And then I fly inside a building where I lose all sats and get 0, then fly out and regain 10 sats again, will it still know the home point? Because in normal LOS drones it loses the home point if it dips to 7 or below.

After watching this I guess that once started, it moves by itself constantly at the same speed anyway, unless you change speed by joystick or press the Stop button. So why cruise control? I didn't get that from the movie.

The drone does not need EASA Certification, but you as the pilot of a drone weighing more than 250 grams do need to register yourself with EASA. This is done through the National Aviation Authority of the EU Country you reside in. (Sorry I cannot include the link. KZbin deletes comments when a web address is included.)

I'm waiting for the next "DJI URBEX" drone!! It has so many sensors you could fly through any abandoned building without it hitting anything. Flying through multiple story buildings in any room while standing outside the building with GPS markers getting you in and out. Hey Good Idea Though?? AWSOME!!
