I wear glasses full time but had the DJI Integra. Never used it because the idea going out somewhere and covering my face wasn’t very appealing to me. I never had contacts because the idea poking my eyeball also isn’t very appealing and I’d close my eyes so probably end up putting the contacts on my eyelids, lol. Been using my controller video (not sure the name of it) and been perfect. Been droning an apartment weekly as it gets built along with some fall colours…before the snow was dumped on us. Might get it up to record that but this was a great video. Merry Christmas!

I’ve noticed the drone seems to wobble quite a bit when using the goggles. I do not have the goggles so I have not tested it for myself. I just use the RC-N3 controller and when I playback video it’s perfect ,nice and smooth.

Is the Avata 1 better than the neo visually? Or not?

So this is exactly the reason I haven't tried the motion controller yet, at the moments when it could be a very exciting video it's just not precise enough.

Goggles v2 and remote control 2 support DJI neo or not
@ImperialLegionTV4 күн бұрын
Where can I buy these things? Can't find any anywhere.
@RFC35148 күн бұрын
I'd say the main benefit of the Goggles 3 over the N3 are the cameras (which are probably responsible for half the price difference). Having dual screens would be a lot more useful if DJI made binocular drones (then you'd have stereo vision, with real depth perception).

I just wish in the U.S. they had a Fly More combo that included all that . Neo, Goggles N3, And Motion Controller 3. they have them in other countries.
@linaskerbelis56368 күн бұрын
Can they work with other drones with O3 units or future O4 units? Or is it only for Neo and Avata 2?
@RFC35148 күн бұрын
In theory, they _can_ work with any O4 drone. But so far they don't, because DJI haven't updated the firmware to make them compatible with other models (ex., Mini 4 Pro). One of their representatives told me they *will* work (at least with the Mini 4 Pro), but I'm not sure if he actually knew anything about DJI's plans or if he was just saying that based on the hardware. I suspect DJI is delaying compatibility because they know people who buy more expensive drones can probably also afford the more expensive goggles.

Can we use the RC FPV 3 paired with googles N3?

had to do a little digging to find it but per DJI's website: "DJI Goggles N3 is compatible with DJI Avata 2 and DJI Neo, and must be used in conjunction with the DJI RC Motion 3 or DJI FPV Remote Controller 3." TLDR: yes :)

Note: a lot of people cannot wear contacts. People with eye alignment issues who need prisms typically cannot use them. And not everyone can wear contacts as they can cause irritation. Meanwhile, an inch of removable foam in the form of a clip on or magnetically attachable visor hood makes ALL headsets compatible with glasses. 64% of Americans wear glasses and 11% wear contacts, so brushing over it is a bit inconsiderate. To make it worse, if you do need prisms, inserts like the ones for the Goggles 3 can cost almost as much as the entire headset. I have a pair of glasses that cost almost $500 a pair and no, I cannot use contacts. Worse still, I would need a set opf inserts for each headset I own (Quest 2, Quest 3 etc). This problem also pops up with smart glasses which often don't even offer a way to people who use glasses to use them, so skip XReal glasses, for example. If I seem annoyed, it's because most tech makers tend to take your attitude and design for the minority, or push the cost of finding a solution for their vision issues to the customer when there's a brutally simple solution right there: add a visor hood or design the tech to be clip on. I mean seriously, do you NEED a drone headset to be ultra small and thin? It's not like you'll be wearing them hours at a time. And you can make the visor part removable (See: Quest 3) Personally, I was thrilled to see the N3 because after begging DJI for four years to make this, it finally arrived and solved the glasses problem while keeping most of the features and not being horribly large (I carry mine around in a small shoulder bag along with the Neo, MC3 controller and FPV 3 controller) - my only complaint is that it only supports the Neo and the Avata 2 - I wish it supported my Mini 4 Pro as well.

From Consumer Drones and Goggles Compatibility Information (for Goggles 3) Goggles 3 + Avata 2 + Neo + Mini 4 Pro + Air 3 - Goggles N3 FOV 54° Goggles 3 44° Goggles RE 84° - Goggles 3 2 OLED, Goggle N3 1 LED, Goggles RE 1 LED. For those that need a prescription: Goggles 3 is adjustable meaning those that upgrade the prescription often can just adjust the Goggles 3. I'm waiting on the update for Goggles 3 + Air 3S, that thing is fast and the video is amazing. No, people that wear glasses don't wear contacts, we may have tried contacts but maintenance (got to put them in and out then clean and store them) and cost ($60 a month multifocal) are a factor, with bifocal lens moving your head adjust the vision, contacts not so much.

Sure contacts are almost ideal. IF YOU CAN USE THEM. Thanks to a history of eyer correction surgery I can use contacts - maybe and only some rate expensive cornea vaulting bullshit. Actually though I really appreciate the level of effort he put into the eyeglasses fit issue. Most reviewers I've seen don't mention glasses at all.
@benoitcerrina7 күн бұрын
And in general for lots of people (me for instance) contacts are not well supported. Glasses are pretty inconvenient in general for any kind of sports for instance yet you see a lot of people with them. And it is not because they didn’t know contacts existed.

Goggles N3 are NOT compatible with the Controller N3 that comes with the Neo Fly More kit. DJI is forcing you to buy a new controller, in spite of the fact that the FPV controller doing nothing that the N3 controller can't do. Blatant evil consumerism. I'm returning my Goggles N3 and Neo Fly More kit today, and will never buy another DJI item. Be a better corporation.
