Just purchased an Inspire 1 V2 Pro and had to make the firmware update. Video... loved the detail in it. Still relevant in 2024. Spot on! Thanks!

No worries. Glad it still helps. We've still got a couple of Inspire 1s around, but they haven't flown for a while due to the tech moving on! Enjoy it, still a great drone to fly. It was an absolute gamechanger in 2015!

Best Inspire Firmware update for both Pro X5 and X3 out there! Much better than the sorry DJI tutorials. Thank you sir!

No worries. We still use one of our Inspire 1s. The other one we sold recently but still a really capable drone 5 years on!

Currently have a p3 pro,looking to upgrade to a inspire 1 v2 which i think has the upgraded motors, is there any difference between the inspire 1 v2 and the inspire 1 pro other than the camera. As in different motors/functions etc ? many thanks
@HexcamCoUk18 жыл бұрын
Wow, quick first comment! I think the V2 motors and Pro motors are the same. Someone please feel free to correct me. I have the V1 motors and they are fine most of the time!

does the dji zenmuse x3+ camera work on the dji inspire 1 pro drone?
@HexcamCoUk1 Жыл бұрын
Never heard of an X3+. We haven't used our Inspire 1 for some time! It's still a good drone but very outdated now.

Do you mean the Z3 Zoom? If so, yes, it should work on any DJI Inspire 1 variant. It's not a great camera though.

@HexcamCoUk1 Жыл бұрын
@@atlas_navi7216 Ah, that one that goes on the Osmo? From memory, not but it has been about 4 years since we used one of those. You'd have to check with DJI. From memory it didn't communicate fully. From memory the only cameras that worked well with the I1 were the original X3, Z3, X5 and X5R.

Hello I have an Inspire 1 pro v2.0 black edition and only flew it 3 times. Then I was ready to fly the next day and it would not transmit or do the dance on start up at all. The lights flash and you can totally here it but other than that nothing. It will fly still like a champ but no transmission. I took the tape cords our and cleaned everything thoroughly and still nothing. I was advised to reinstall the software but does that just mean to reinstall the latest update or everything. Could you please tell me which ones to install? If it does not work I have to download a label and send it back to DJI for repair in California being that I live here in Hawaii particularlythe island of Kauai & their is no repair places at all. If you could yell me what to do it would be a huge help. I will send you an amazing photo being that I'm a professional drone photographer if it works. I really do not want to send out the inspire. Again it is the Inspire 1 Pro V2.0 Black Edition with the X5 camera. Thanks.

Hi. I have an Inspire drone 1 V. 2.0 and Im going to upgrade it for x3 and x5. My actual firmware is 1.9.1.30 for X3 camera, the Latest is v01.11.01.50. Could I upgrade directly this latest version or I must upgrade the second last version before? Because on the DJI web site the second last version is empty
@HexcamCoUk17 жыл бұрын
Davide Saporito I think you should be able to update directly.
@davidesaporito14397 жыл бұрын
ok. thank you. so after upgrading the latest firmware of x3 Im going to upgrade the latest firmware of X5 and finally the remote control, it is correct?
@HexcamCoUk17 жыл бұрын
Davide Saporito Can't absolutely guarantee that's right but it is the way I would approach it. If in doubt try the DJI support chat, they are generally pretty good. Thanks.

After you updated the aircraft with both firmware versions, can you switch between the X3 and the X5 anytime you want without having to change firmware versions each time?
@HexcamCoUk18 жыл бұрын
Jim Richard Yup. Effectively, the Main reason for the different firmware is to tell the aircraft how to deal with the different cameras. As long as all cameras are on their latest firmwares, you can swap as you like. We do it all the time.
@FlashOnTwos8 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the fast response. I had been in contact via chat with a DJI "support" rep moments ago and that person told me that I would have to switch firmware versions EACH time I switched the cameras out! I thought that was preposterous. I knew he couldn't be correct. Again, thanks for the clarification. Now I just wish DJI had more knowledgeable reps to assist their customers!
@HexcamCoUk18 жыл бұрын
Jim Richard Really? Wow. The last year and a half of operations tell me I am right and the DJI rep is wrong! We regularly swap during shoots. Basically, if you had X3, X5, XT, Z3, etc. you could swap between them if all on the latest firmware.
@FlashOnTwos8 жыл бұрын
Ok, I believe you for sure. Common sense told me that once both firmware updates were applied, that the aircraft, controller and app would all communicate properly regardless of which camera was installed. DJI is not too smart, lol! Thanks again!
@FlashOnTwos8 жыл бұрын
Ok, I have the X5 installed and everything functions fine. However, I have another question if you won't mind answering. When the I1 is turned off and no power is being supplied to the X5, the whole gimble assembly/camera tilts all the way to the right side (opposite of the gimble motor) and the camera tilts upward. Is the camera supposed to be sitting level (balanced) when powered off? I've read that over time, the gimble motors can begin to fail from the stress of keeping an unbalanced camera/gimble assembly level and straight. The camera is the DJI version.

Hear no sound with mine , Why?
@HexcamCoUk17 жыл бұрын
Could be several reasons and hard to diagnose remotely. Here are some possibilities: 1) Wrong firmware on card 2) Firmware in DCIM folder instead of root directory 3) Aircraft doesn't need updating

1.Inspire 1 Firmware v01.11.01.50 (X3) I want to update, current is 1.10.01.40 2. no folder just the "BIN" file 3.see no 1 4. on RC it also say aircraft needs updating 5.also in RC say gimbal disconnected 6.aslo can see video image on my tablet its blank 7 i have the inspire 1 v1.0 Thanks
@HexcamCoUk17 жыл бұрын
Not sure, sorry. Sounds like you have it right. Not sure why it is saying gimbal disconnected though. I did the same update today on one X3 and it was fine but the other X3 cameras I have didn't want it. If you look on the website, that update doesn't actually appear on the X3 page, only on the main Inspire page. Very odd.
