We own the mavic 3 pro cine and bought the inspire 3 last Fall and it's really been a learning curve to learn how to get the most out of the image quality. First thing, DJI needs to start engineering the x10 now because the x9 has so many problems from rolling shutter to blown out images when it's bright, you need a 5 stop ND filter to keep it from overexposing when it's bright. Our biggest issue is the lack of continuous autofocus for a solo operator. Other than that, this drone produces a really sharp image. We always shoot in 8k 60 fps and apply the dji inspire 3 rec 709 lut

Have you found any other luts that you like?

@@mediacorevideo I've found better results not using the DJI LUT, and just grading manually in Resolve.

Evidently you haven’t watched many reviews but this 12 year old is doing a decent job. lol.

@@KZbin_can_ESAD I mean you can watch the 10 guys that got to use it for free for a bit. We wanted a better perspective from a company doing this every day.

Is it easy to operate like the other DJI drones?
@revealhawaiimedia8085 ай бұрын
No it's easier to crash
@srandall31Ай бұрын
Yes, even easier than the Inspire 2 because it's more stable. It also has improved safety features like the 360 obstacle avoidance coverage and 5 generations ahead on the transmission signal technology.

no doubt its a great piece of kit, but after seeing the marginal upgrade of capability strictly for cinema/television, I didnt see the benefit for the $23+k upgrade over the I2. Not one client has asked for specs that the I3 produces, so as of now -- I've not lost money on NOT upgrading. Lets face it the Mavic 3 in the hands of an experienced operator can do 95% of what TV and a majority of cinema requirements. DJI has taken a huge loss on the I3 under performing in the sales projections so who knows, maybe a price reduction is coming ?!? 1Year into the I3 being on the scene is half a product cycle for new drones and with competitors not having to skate around the china ban talks (yes I know they are kinda over now) the I3 maybe the best drone ever not fully recognized in the drone space.

Hey David! Thanks for this feedback and your thoughts. We own the I2 as well and it's also a great drone with the X7 you get amazing footage. The I2 came out in 2016 and when you operate the I3 you can really experience the difference in the tech and user experience. Depending on what you do for work and how you make money using your drone it might not be worth the investment as most clients don't ask for those kinds of specs. We have now incorporated this into almost every one of our shoots and are loving not just what we get for an image but also the ease of using and operating it. Solid points though and you're right on with what you saying. I was curious if you have used the I3 yet?

@@mediacorevideo actually I have NOT flown it nor have I seen it in the wild. I do know a few peers that have it and absolutely love it . . . I'll NEVER say the I2 is on par with the I3 (even with the X7), merely the fact that MOST think are considering the upgrade should really evaluate the worth of the marginal increase of capability. If I didnt have the I2 and was entering the biz doing what I do now (100s of credits, flying in 42 States and 3 countries) then I might consider the investment a good decision. Maybe I can stop by and fly with you next time I'm in the area. #FlySafe ~
