Why don't you credit the creators of video clips you use? (I like your tips, but I know some of this came from a different creator and didn't see any credits in your description)

Jeven...... YOU WORK HARD..... I started watching you when I started on KZbin 4 years ago and you are one of the rare people I recommend till this day. I am saving this video for later on to enjoy as it is long... but I've visited your channel just in my free time last month and I certainly noticed that you really work hard.... wishing you all the best.... I think you deserve a huge break with your family....

Great tips! As a relatively new drone pilot I've learned a lot from your videos. One thing I don't really agree tho it's the "hand catching". Once I got my drone, one of the very first things I did was learn how to take off and land in my hand. More than often you'll find yourself in situations where you won't have an ideal surface to put your drone (even with launching pads), so learning how to do that properly and confidently is a must have skill and will open a lot of possibilites, in my opinion. Thanks for the content!
@flightographist2 жыл бұрын
I agree, there is no way I would land my mp3 on a mat on uneven surface, unless it was made of flat plywood or something- rotor jamb error for sure on a mat with bumps in it, even from tall mown grass.
@DoYouEvenLiftKid2 жыл бұрын
@@flightographist I learned the hard way about takeoff and landing on uneven surfaces today. Broke a total of 4 propellers on my first day flying. Learned from my mistakes and will not let it happen again, hand takeoff/ hand launching is very easy, however hand landing I haven’t tried yet.
@flightographist2 жыл бұрын
@@DoYouEvenLiftKid Just focus on the drone and nothing else while you land and takeoff by hand.a slight gust of wind can push it enough to snag a finger...don't ask me how I know that.
@ronmarvicsin7709 Жыл бұрын
I once hand landed my FPV. It tore the skin off my thumb from knuckle to the joint. I was lucky it was just the skin n not nerves. I figure it must have been a gust of wind that made change angles. In a split second I decided to throw it into my yard so it wouldn’t break. I couldn’t believe my eyes, it never hit the ground, it just flew across the street and stopped. Then started coming right back to me. :( I couldn’t exactly run, I didn’t even have the RC in my hand either. Then it got to about three feet of me it stopped and landed all by itself. To this day I’m not sure why it flew across the street and then came back to me and landed. My buddy said< ‘’that’s bad ju ju.’’ I still have a scar
@velkymuftu Жыл бұрын
Same - I find hand catching easy and convenient. I now only do hand launching and landing, doesn’t matter what the area looks like. And as a bonus it avoids the risk of getting dust in the motors and avoids the motors getting stuck in taller grass.

Excellent video. I'm only halfway through but I have to offer a counter to your call to film at sunrise and sunset and look for long shadows. If you are filming for purposes where you want to use the drone to explain some geographic or landscape design aspects in a video, then I have found it is best to film midday when you have the fewest shadows so the layout of the landscape features are not distracted or distorted by long shadows. So I think your advice leans more towards artistic drone shots versus informational. Keep up the great work!

Super helpful I will buy one soon and I’m super scared to crash it😟 How often you guys crash your drone?! Happens often?🤔
@TedNemeth2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely happens frequently to everyone. You should expect it! The biggest tip is always takeoff from a VERY clear area and look up! For power lines and branches. Fly safe!
@fugginrambo2 жыл бұрын
It rarely happens, I hit a little branch while landing. It was completely my fault because I was talking to a random person that came up to me asking questions. I took my eyes off of the drone and my mini 2 fell about 10 feet and broke 1 propeller. I haven't crashed 100 + flights later.

@fugginrambo2 жыл бұрын
@@kflecha1 If you fly and are worried about crashing I can almost guarantee you that it won't happen. It's when people get overly confident or aren't paying attention. The DJI drone "Return Home Function" is outstanding and has saved me many times. I've lost connection between buildings, dropped my phone on concrete completely breaking it, or just flying out of range. 100% of the time it's flown itself home and landed. Just be sure to fly above the tallest object and make sure the Return Home Height is set above any obstacles and you'll be totally fine. Plus DJI offers a refresh option when buying new. For 1 year they will replace the drone for $50. You only have 48 hours to purchase the Refresh package after either purchasing or registering it, I forget because I didn't have to use it. For the guy who says everyone crashes often I would love to see what he's actually doing.

I am also a Professional Land Surveyor and interested in developing skills with the better functionality of the Mavic 3 E for its X,Y, & Z coordinate values. Such will be of greater accuracy for implementation of the same in earthwork and topographical mapping. Aside from that, I'm also into prepping aerial videos coupled with great music! Out here in Utah, there is so much to photo and video out in the Wasatch Mountains!! My next step will also be upgrading my photo and video procedures.
