Regarding props in shot- this is a trade-off of having a master shots option called “obstacle avoidance” mode enabled. When this is enabled the drone actually flies orbits with the front facing towards the direction of travel to use the front facing sensors. The camera tilts to the side to keep the subject in frame - hence the props in shot. You can change this setting to avoid props in shot but that will carry more risk of flying sideways into an obstacle. Hope this helps 😊

Precisely Wilder, wind doesn't help this as well if the drone has to tilt in order to maintain it's position during the orbit, plus the larger FOV of this drone. We have a video coming out about this soon.

@Rixx1313 if you don't want props in shot then you should change the setting while you're in flight to "Composition", but props don't always appear, only in some conditions, so shoot it and see how it looks in the standard setting first

To change the configuration to COMPOSITION mode, is it done while you are in flight before giving STAR to the mastershot? where is that configuration? in the three points and in camera?

Thanks for excellent start test on the mastershots. Where may I find the way to change the music selections as offered by the program and preselect which one you wish to use and save. Also how can you save your own music background into the program and not use the pre-packaged backgrounds?? Could this be a short training video in your future?? I think you can do mastershots in 1080p, 2.7k or 4k (only 30fps for all). When starting mastershots configuration it'll always go for the 1080p but you can change it before starting. Don't know if it'll download to the app at anything better than 1080p though...

I believe its a settings under camera with two options - obstacle avoidance and composition. When in default mode (obstacle avoidance) there is a warning that props may show.

This is the only thing that is holding me back not to buy this drone. In theory, we shouldn't be turning off Obstacle avoidance. I recently lost my dji Mavic mini 2 in a recent NC500 visit and realise how important this feature is.

A colleague of mine said that bitrate problem actually is caused by a slow SD Card. Try getting a better and faster one and it should solve the lags he said. Anyone confirm it before I buy a new card?

This will be an interesting feature for a guy like me...fly fishing on a river all by myself. I can set it and starting casting. Then I just want to go through the individual clips and use the clips I want to in my own edit. Sucks it's just 1080p though, but not a deal breaker. Wait, I just heard you say the clips are already combined. That sucks, but I can cut them as needed. Thanks for the info!

You can get rid of the props by changing settings in camera from obstacle avoidance to composition. This is done when in Mastershots before you start

Every time I try to take a Mastershots, after clicking Start, I keep getting a message that the drone will "reach it's maximum altitude... please lower drone or check settings..." for the life of me, I can't figure out what to change in order to get it to work. Nothing I change seems to make that error message go away, and I've only been able to get it to do a Mastershots one time out of maybe a dozen.... Anyone have any ideas?

If you are using iPhone you can tap the 1080P in mastershots and change it to 4K ....for some reason it only works if you have an iPhone.

Hi there . Great Video. Question : Were you not scared the drone would crash into the trees on the LAST Mastershot with the tress around you ? As I understand that my AIR2S ( I got last week) does not have side obstacle avoidance on it and when it would do a circle you would have to set it as HIGH height I am guessing then ? Thanks

Props are visible because in some scenarios the gimbal is rotating the camera module.

I'm using it with mine, it's not as fast as a regular phone and app for the DJI Fly application, but it's absolutely usable. Just ensure that you regularly keep your Smart Controller clean, remove old firmware update files and keep caches flushed every few months.

No unfortunately not, because the ActiveTrack will lose you after it flies a certain distance away, therefor sir instead marks a home point after you start the shot.

I'm seeing the props in the video issue enough to wonder if the camera gimbal is turning to the left or right at times for some inexplicable reason only the code writers understand. The Air 2 can do that when you want it to. This may simply be a software/firmware update fix.

Check your 'Maximum Altitude' setting in the 'Settings' menu and increase it slightly, but NOT beyond the legal altitude for your country.

I haven't tested that, but it's a shame if that's the case. It's most likely due to the case that MasterShots are automatically edited by the software, shooting in DLOG would require that app to apply a LUT, which requires more processing power etc.

Air2S is over price, A lot of limitation of features to maximized 1" larger sensor and 5.4k resolution. Less flight time than older Air 2. Much better to wait Mavic 3 To experience larger 1" sensor with 5.4k resolution for appropriate price. Useless with Have much range 12KM with less flight time than older model and 5.4k new drone adding new Mastershots only available in 1080p.

I think it may have been the higher winds. I've seen the props in another video doing MasterShots and it was during the same circle shot. I've also seen several other videos with no props in frame.

Don't buy into the hype. These units are terrible. They are buggy, latency issues with the video feed, signal related issues are 2000 ft plain of sight no objects nor other radios, unable to charge your phone (slow charging only), the tracking software loses sight in plain sight, files get corrupted 😉, they aren't shielded from EMF/EMI, the software app is buggy, you will get jitter in transmission and on the recording file, these are cheap Chinese toys not drones. Sorry DJI, you lost the game and feel. Let someone else start the trend.
